Before he became a judge, Stuart Scott was an ethically-challenged Santa Clara County Deputy District Attorney. As a prosecutor, Scott was found guilty of egregious prosecutor misconduct by the United States Courts for the Ninth Circuit.
The misconduct resulted in a murder conviction being reversed.
As a judge, after being demoted for misconduct as a criminal court judge, Scott was reassigned to family law court. Scott continued to engage in misconduct against court users who couldn't afford lawyers, exhibiting pro per and socioeconomic bias.
