I am posting this on behalf of my grandson. Last summer he went to this company for a vehicle. He went alone at only 18 years old. They took total advantage of that and convinced him to purchase a car that had astronomical payments. $500 every two weeks. He had never purchased a vehicle from a dealer before and did not know any better. They took the only car he had as a trade in along with every penny he had on him. Well when he came in to make his payment, when he did not have the entire payment..he had half or more...they would not give him any kind of help whatsoever. They took the car away from him right then and there. Made him take all his stuff out of it and call someone for a ride. It had only been a couple of weeks. Not only did they take the new car away, but they had his old car and all his money. Not to mention that the manager that was there was EXTREMELY rude and mean to him about the whole thing. Even the female clerk in the office apologized for the rudeness. This is a perfect example of a rude..power driven individual taking complete advantage of a young "kid" and totally ripping him off. I think it was disgusting and uncalled for. I believe that man has absolutely no business in a field where he can treat the public so horribly. All they did was take as much from that poor kid as possible and give him NOTHING!!! Now here it is not quite a year later and he still has no car and no money as he is a new father and it is much harder to save now. I would absolutely never...ever...suggest that anyone attempt to purchase a car from superior car credit in Freeport Illinois. The worst.
I purchased a Dodge Durango from this company 2 years ago. When I bought it had 79000 miles on it. I got the standard one year warranty on the drive train. Four months after I bought it, the engine went out. I was informed that the piston went through the valve. 30 days later I got the vehicle back with a used engine installed. I was told that I would receive the same warranty on this engine which would have been 1 year. Last month, September 2015, my engine light went on again. I took it back to the shop. 15 days later, they claimed they have done a vavle job on this motor and that everything was good. 2 days after I picked up the suv, the engine light appeared again, so I took it back. 5 days later they called me and said they didn't know what was wrong and to come and pick up the suv. I took the suv to Feeny Dodge in Elgin, they had it for 2 hours and claimed that I have a piston ring leak. They also told me that Superior's mechanics should have been able to pick this problem up, so I called Superior back and was told by Jim Anderson, manager, that they will not do anymore work on this vehicle. My suv shows 101000 miles on it now as of October 2015. Meaning I have only driven the vehicle for 22000 miles, so I believe the engine they put in was no good. All I was asking for was to get my vehicle fixed and for them to stand behind the work that they did. Each time that I had the vehicle in for repairs I had to pay $50.00, and still have the same problem. Jim Anerson told me when I called that if he would have been around when all this happened, he would have never approved for the engine to be fixed again, because he said that the warranty was over and that we should look at what was done as a gift to us. He was very rude when talking with my wife. I don't feel that this is how a customer should be treated and made to feel that now you have to take it to a real mechanic to get the repairs done correctly.
