I started receiving phone calls from this company called Sunset Escapes several months ago. They begin by telling me that In the past I have bought a vacation package with a company that has now expired and that they would like to offer me a second chance at using it. This company has several different scenarios that they use. If you turn them down they will just call you back again and again and switch it up a little. What their agenda is to tell you that your vacation has expired however they will credit you the amount you originally paid for it plus what the actual value of the trip would be worth then they will also honor that original vacation plus add in extra days and cruises as well all you have to do is pay ($$) whatever amount they tell you, mine changes every phone call, to "reactivate" your credit. In my case I had purchased a package through Spinnacker Resorts in Dec.2016 and have 2 yrs before it expires. I'm sure this company banks in the fact that most people don't remember or Faust fall for their b.s. At first they would call and say I purchased a package that expired and they had would like to offer me a second chance at using the credit on my account. When I didn't go for it they changed it up to praying they acquired my account through an expired company but never provided the company just a list of companies. Then when I had more questions the phone calls became more and more through out the day and they now had more informed information. Most recently they called me and provided me with the exact day I bought my package with Spinnacker Resort and obviously the name of the resort they went a few starts further to provide me with the last 4 digits of the credit card I used to book the trip,my husbands name as he would be traveling with me and my home address. I've since been getting emails and letters from Spinnacker Resorts telling me that they are aware of the situation and they are in no way affiliated with this company and my trip is most definitely not expired! Now I still receive calls to this day from this company and every time they call I put them on my blocked call list and somehow they call from a different number. Now just yesterday I decided to tell the gentleman that called me that I knew it was a scam because I spoke with Spinnacker Resorts and they assured me they are not affiliated and my trip is not expired this man went on and on giving me facts and details about their company, dates I placed my original vacation,my credit card first 4 digits and last 4 digits of the card I used to book it then proceeded to get nasty, when I hung up and blocked that number,I continued to get calls at least 5 more times on my Sunday evening. This company is a scam!

We received a Call May 4, 2017 stating that we had a travel voucher and to finalize package would be $349. We would be receiving a 4 day/3 night vacation as well as an 8 day/7night cruise and a free airline companion ticket and 8 day/7 night 1 bedroom stay at 66 locations. We would have to attend a timeshare presentation (no problem for us). So we purchased. What they didn't tell you was trying to book is impossible! Trying to get ahold of someone is impossible! Called 2 times and talked to 2 different people about getting our cruise certificate mailed and they both said they would (called A week and a half apart from each other) and still a month later have not gotten one! Called this morning and asked to talk to supervisor/manager and explained I wanted to get a refund (within my 30 days of purchase) and was on hold for 25 minutes and then hung up on!!! It is a SCAM!!! Don't do it and save your $$! We own timeshares and have never been treated like this! Trying to call all day since I was hung up on and just put on hold. I will be disputing with credit card company for fraud!

This company is a total fruad. I purchased my first package from them in 2016. In May 2017, they called me back and said they had a better package deal since I had not used my travel certificate at that point. I agreed. The cost was $200 in addition to the 2016 fee of $199. This gave me a 4 day - 3 night vacation at one of their resorts with a tour required. Once that was done, there was another 3 vacation packages. 1 - Another 4 day, 3 night vacation at one of their domestic destinations, a 8 day - 7 night package at one of their resort getaways, and a 7 night cruise for 2 with the ability to buy an additional ticket for my second daughter.

After medical issues kept me from any vacation last summer, I was delayed in getting the package started. One April 12th I started the numerous calls to the reservation line to schedule my packages. After 30 minutes of being number 1 in line, I had to hang up to take care of my kids. On April 14, I tried again and spent 2.5 hours waiting on hold; for 30 minutes I was caller 8, then within 10 minutes I jumped to caller 1, so for almost 2 hours I waited as caller number 1. There was NO answer. During this time, I called on my daughter's phone to "press 1 to leave a message for someone to return your call." I tried that 3 times while waiting for the first call to be answered. On April 16th, I called again 3 times and each waited for 30 minutes, then "pressed 1" and left my message. No return calls. I tried again on April 18th with the same luck. On April 19th, I finally got someone to pick up. After explaining that I have had a horrible time trying to get through to someone and I just want to set up my reservations so I don't have to call again, the represntative got irritable with me. Seriously! I am your customer and you left me hanging for how long? and you want to give me an attitude. I finally get the first tour package scheduled, because NO you cannot schedule any other vacation until that one is complete. I was told there will be an email sent in 7 -10 business days confirming my resservation. When I asked to talk to a manager, I got the reply that there is no manager. Being that the vacation was "scheduled" and I just had to wait and the fact that this woman was beyond frustrating, I hung up and decided to wait for my package to be "approved."

So on the 10th business day, NOTHING has arrived. I spend another 20 minutes waiting for someone to answer, once she does she tells me that the confirmation hasn't been sent yet. When I try to talk to her manager, she gets irritable with me again. I wait on hold again for Daniella to get her boss, Carla Amereno on the phone. She's too busy to talk right then, so I wait for her to return my call. Miracle of miracles, she does return my call 20 minutes later.

Carla proceeds to tell me that we are waiting for my confirmation, but there is an additional fee of $149 due before they can process the information. When I ask why in my last calls no one mentioned that, she said that they did. I asked to here the recording of the call and she said there was no need for that. Then she told me that Daniella did tell me that and it was in the recording. Carla still refused to allow me to listen to it. She told me that the Sales department and the reservation department should have told me that before they processed the reservation request. When I asked to speak to the person in charge of those departments, Carla told me she is in charge, there is no one else I can talk to. Apparently Daniella is the only person that does reservations and Carla is the only one that manages everything.

At this point, I was so frustrated at being cut off while talking and the lies they were telling, that I asked for a refund. Carla said she'd be happy to do that but since it was so old the $200 paid last year could take up to 3 months to process. At this point I asked for their mailing address and Carla's last name, she made it a point to tell me she didn't think I needed that information and that they did everything they were supposed to do, then she gave it to me reluctantly.

Promised no presentations, after i booked just got added cost to every thing I was told was already covered, Cruise they want & 75 registration fee and then $ 439 per person for port charges which is way more than cruise line charges, the entire thing is a complete ripoff, I have multiple good vacation offers and had a wonderful time, this was not one of them. utter lost of my money.

Don't do it!

I received a call from 3 different people, I wrote down all the names. They told me I purchased a package that expired two months ago and they didn't want me to lose my money.

All I had to do is give them 598.00 more then they would extend the vacation package they eventually ,

went as low as 298.00 . Everything they said had conditions that involved more money. When I began to ask more indept questions they would hang up on me. I called back and talked to a manager. I told him about the last caller hanging up on me . He said he would investigate, and then proceeded to sell a vacation package.

I purchased a travel package after I was called by someone telling me a previous package had expired.

While on the telephoe, I looked up the company and informed the person informed me that was " not them, it was another company with a similar name."

I went ahead to purchase the package, shame on me. I made a reservation that day but insteas of the 4 day/3 nights, it was only 3 day/2night. The gift certificates also came in my inbox and they expire within a month. The retaurant gift card was actually a club you had to join and receive a portion of the promised $300.00 over a year.

At this point I decided to cancel. I sent an e-mail as well as called since I was within my 30 day grace period. When I called , they encouraged me to wait for my confrmation for my requested vacation. I was told it would be in by Friday 8/16/17.

SInce it did not arrive, I made other plans for my vacation. I received a call to confirm a reservation and they stated they e-mailed me as well. I have not receieved an e-mail. I again told them I wanted to cancel the package and was told I could not cince I made a reservation and "fine print" which I never recived, said I accepted the package by making a reservation.

He went on to day, I waived my 30 day cancellation rights.

I aksed to apeak with a superviser and he informed n=me he was the highest in the compay except for the person who rented the building they work.
