My wife is 71 years old and we are both Retired US ARMY. My wife has Stage 4 Cancer and heart failure, weak heart, diabetes, trouble breathing unable to walk more than 20 steps without having to stop and rest, dizzy, irregular heart beat, compromised immune system, retains fluids in her feet, legs, lungs and heart area, must lie down every few hours to help relieve the pain that she is always in, taking pain medication daily since she was told she has Stage 4 Cancer, has low blood pressure and had to receive chemo 24 hours a day for 7 straight days every 3 weeks for 6 months just to survive. On 29 May 15 we went to Sunrise Hospital ER in Las Vegas due to my wife being in heart failure. The ER doctor told my wife that she needed to be admitted to the hospital and then sent her to the ER Waiting Room where she remained for more than 36 hours before they transferred her to a hospital room. During these 36 hours she never was given any place or bed to lie down on to ease her pain. The hospital staff violated her Civil Rights by requiring her to tell them both her personal and medical information in the ER Waiting Room full of people. They also took her vitals and even drew blood in theER Waiting Room full of people. Under Federal Law she is entitled to be treated in privacy. They did not safeguard her personal and medical information and this could also be both elder abuse and or elder neglect that is keeping someone in my wife's condition for more tahn 36 hours in the waiting room and not providing her both with a bed to lie down on to ease the pain and to do any and all medical procedures in priavte! If anyone ever chooses to use this hospital this is the type of treatment they can expect. It is really a sad day when we allow any hospital to treat our Seniors and retired Military in this fashion!
