In the summer of 2014 my family and i went to Dorney Park and we signed this paper that entered us to win a free car. So i thought. Sundance called numerous times stating that i had wona free cruise and congratulations. I was overly joyed. In October of 2014 I went to their presentation a week after my 22 birthday. It was rather lengthy but my boyfriend and I waited it out. They escorted us to the back and said we had to meet with one of their associates . We laughed , we joked and he sounded like a "friend". SO i signed up with this amazing travel agency. An agency that will help with all of my traveling needs. Little did i know that this new "friend" was a wolf in sheeps clothing. i remember at the end of the presentation i asked what would happen if i could no longer afford the payments all he said was "we wouldnt like that" and laughed it off as did i and i left. In January i unfortunally had a change in income and i called them they said they will lower my paments which they did. BBut now im in a greater hole and its almost impossible for me to afford these fees. I researched about the company i was in and found a Facebook page that is called Boycott Sundance Vacations. they gave me information and highlighted parts of the contract that would be used as "Material Misrepresentations" for me for instance the associate never discussed with me that i could never cancel my membership and that even if i tried to book a vacation i would not be able to do so by myself because many of the accomendations they have listed had a 25 year old minimum age requirement. I tried to reach Sundance through email so i can have in writing that i would like to cancel my membership and would like a full refund but no one has contacted me back. So i placed a stop payment on any transactions with Sundance Tristate Financial and Travel Advantage in August of 2015 they couldnt charge me in September but they manage to charge me October 1, 2015. they have called non stop from 8 am to almost 9 at night because of this missed payment. they have emailed me about the missed payment and thats all no one has contacted me about my initial email which i sent first about cancelling my membership in the first place. when i called today i was given the run around. I do not and plan on never using their services i would like to get my money back

My husband, an Army veteran, was lured into a business by the name of Sundance Vacation when he received an invitation for a “free vacation.” After watching their presentation they offered us a vacation package deal that was too good to resist which we unfortunately fell for. Since November 2018, the company has been charging us for services they have not provided.

We’ve done some research and we now believe they are a fraudulent business. Many others have reported not being able to use the services they paid for and being hit with hidden fees. We’ve tried to get in contact with them to find out how we can either use the vacations we’ve paid for and or end our contract so that we can stop being charged their service fee but we’ve had no luck.

The phone lines are always busy and on their website their vacations are always “unavailable.” Also, the prices of the vacations are much higher than advertised at our initial meeting.

I feel that this company employs some very shady, though not illegal, high pressure sales tactics. Apart from that, I feel I was mislead by being promised 4-5 star luxury condos and was instead met with

A) no properties in the desired state and B) 2 room run down cabins in adjacent states that in no way reflect the product promised.

I was told on the phone when I unsuccessfuly attempted to cancel my account that they cater to "all types of vacationers" so basically, "too bad." Unfortunately I know it was my youth, naivety, and hatred of confrontation that initially got me signed on to this program that is currently costing me more than my student loans for my BSN.

I tried to ask if I could cut my losses and accept the fact that I'd paid thousands of dollars for a product I will never use if they would decrease the amount of weeks in my package, and was told that was not an option.

I also had a bad experience with their customer service agents in general as Sundance sent me to Travel Advantage Network who sent me to Tri State Financial and finally back to Sundance, the original number I dialed.

After looking in to it, it seems they are all the same company, so that was an unnecessary waste of time. Since I can't cancel my account, the best I can do is try to warn future customers about my terrible experience.

I was scammed into purchasing a vacation package. Deposit $300. The told me I won free vacation Disney land or cruise. Get to office it is about a timeshare. However it was on premise of free vacation. The agent said over 50 states. When I go to book trip they dont have either place. I tried to cancel 2 days later. No refund or cancellation allowed. Had to pay fee for FREE TRIP. They fast talk you, tell office only there for 3 days. However they are there permanently in monroeville.

I was told I would get a free vacation if I sat through an hour and a half presentation. The vacation was to either Cancun, Puerto Rico or Jamaica. I got the papers after the presentation and then it was turned over to some travel agency. When I call to book the trip, they always told me that there was nothing at the community and I would walk or get transportation to nearest restuarant. They also said there would be out of country fees and hotel fees that could add up to $400 or more. The person sounded like he was trying to talk me out of takin the trip and it worked. So I never took the trip because not it is not free.

I purchased a vacation plan 10 vacations and, so they say, I was getting 2 free vacations. The plan says that out of season a bedroom would cost 149.00. But when I booked a vacation, they told me that did not have a one bedroom and I had to pay $249 and sometimes more. Nothing is what they said it would be at the presentation. I am so unhappy with this vacation plan. It is bes to buy insurance for $50 when you book a vacation because if you change your mind and you don have the insurance, you loose what have paid for when booking the vacation. Or if have you have the insurance and change you mind, you loose the $50 insurance and you money goes back into their system. You don't get your money back, you have to use to book another vacation and pay another $50 for insurance, if you want it.

Horrible plan

I got the call from Sundance Vacations I won a free vacation, but I had to drive to New Jersey to listen to a brief presentation to learn more and accept the vacation. I thought I Had finally got lucky with something in my life. This all started when I signed up for a chance to win a car at the New Jersey State Fair. During the presentation, Sundance made me feel special to have received an audience with and a chance to become a member. They emphasized that their VIP package could only be purchased that day. The VIP package cost about 5000 dollars more (15000 or 20000 after interest) but it did have alot more vacation weeks and perks. They informed the crowd that they dont just let people off the street come buy packages, but each individual was basically hand chosen.

After it was all said and done, I Was convinced becoming a member was a great opportunity. HoweveR, when the time came that I Could not afford to keep paying for a vacation package I could not use and have not used at all, I gave them a call. Apparently I had to pay 13000 dollars to release myself from my membership. I just told them I Could not afford, how in hell they think I got Ks sitting around my bank acct? 1st off dragging me in with a FREE Prize is illegal according to the Attorney General and second of all I do not have to pay the acct off in full as I did not utilize any vacation weeks or even the Free one.. I did not have a loan with them anyways as TrIstate financial is the same company as Sundance.

Their terrible customer service, lying, and scheming has angered me beyond a doubt and I will make it known to the world how bad of a company they are because of how they have treated me. They act like I am an idiot when I speak to them on the phone saying that I made this contract and it is uncancelable when I know for a fact it is. Even in my contract it says it can be amended if both parties agree, but they are not worried about pleasing their customer, they are concerned with receiving money they have done nothing in return for.
