Ordered a ladder for the pool. Sent me a repacked ladder with legs that don’t fit. Many calls. No answer. They dont return phone calls. Terrible customer service!!
accidentally bought the wrong part. I called and the lady said it wasnt her fault that i was stupid enough to buy the wrong part and in order to exchange it there was going to be a 20% restocking fee... YES..she called me stupid. I asked to speak to a manager and she said she didnt have time for this and hung up on me.. I called back to get a refund and she said that i obviously didnt know how to read because the website stated no refunds...only exchanges... with an additional 20% added to the purchase price... this is the absolute WORST company EVER.
BUYER BEWARE! If you need to return something you order from them, you will lose 25% as a "restocking fee." Look, I'm fine eating the shipping fees, but charging me 25% for an unopened item that I paid to return to you that you can turn around and resell for full price? Ridiculous! I could understand this policy for opened items that you are going to have to re-package. They don't put this policy on any of the receipts or pages while you are ordering but it is buried on their website. Don't bother calling customer service because they will just tell you it is your fault for not reading every page of their website. Shame on you @summerbackyard for not making this right. I posted on their Facebook Page to try to get a more responsive "customer service" rep. Before removing my post, the company responsed, "The 25% restocking fees are calculated based on outbound shipping fees, packing fees, receiving and put away time and labor. Please note the policy clearly states this on our website and at checkout." I expected this from your "customer service" SummerBackyard.com. Blame the customer instead of trying to make it right. This is fueling my desire to warn other people about you. It doesn't cost you $44 for a box and to ship something under 10#. If it takes that long for your warehouse people to carry a box back to the shelf, you're paying them too much or need to re-train them on how to do things more efficiently. I hope the bad publicity is worth it...
