I was contacted by StudentAidCenter.Org regarding Student Loan Forgiveness and they stated they could help me since I was a Disabled Marine Veteran with a Service-Connected Disability Rating of 80%. It was stated that it would take approximately 6 months (January 2016) for my loans to be forgiven and during that time I was to have automatically withdrawn $100 a month from my account.
It is April, I've tried all ways to contact them to no avail. I still have my student loans and I have received no communication from this agency or my money back.
STUDENT AID CENTER promised me that they would consolidate my Federal loans, and by the end of 5 months I would only be paying $29.00 for month for the next 300 months. And by the end of that time my whole loan would be forgiven, just as stated in "OBAMA CARE".
OMG -I am so stupid for not checking out this company online first with the BBB or YELP feedback! I also should have known that something too good to be true probably is not legitimate! But the caller sounded so informative and talked about OBAMA CARE, and student loan forgiveness, that I thought it was for real.
I was stupid enough to give them ALL my information - my Navient Student Loan Account numbers, my SOCIAL SECURITY number and most stupidily my checking account number - yes I DID!
In the begining they were constantly bothering me to fill out forms, even when I repeatedly told them that i had NOT received anything in the mail. And they called me so many times at 3:00-5:00am in the morning PST, when I repeatedly told them to make a note in my records that I was 5 hours BEHIND EST! I should have stopped right there from proceeding any further. If they were this disorganized before I even started working with them, how would they actually handle my loan correctly and carefully?
And now 4 months later I am out 4 payments of $199.00 ($796.00) and I can not reach anyone on the the phone or via email, even though I am calling during their EST business hours. I only got concerned this late in the process because I got paperwork from a loan servicing company, Great Lakes, informing me of my loan repayment plan, and it did NOT match what I had been told by Student Aid Center. And if I did not respond by 12/22/2015 - which is this coming Tuesday, I would be locked in to their loan payment schedule.
So of course I have been trying to reach STUDENT AID CENTER to try and clear this matter up, and correct this discrepancy with what they had laid out as my loan repayment plan and the repayment plan that I recently received from this servicing company - which has me paying a MUST MORE EXPENSIVE monthly payment - which I can not afford. Which is why I even considered using STUDENT AID CENTER in the first place! I can not afford my high monthly student loan payment, and I can not keep putting it off by electing forbearance.
I do not think they will try and reach me. But I did e-mail them stating that they were NOT AUTHORIZED to remove the $199.00 loan processing fee from my checking account in January.
Is there any way to get back the $796.00 that I have already given them??? HELP!
I reach out to student aid center to get a consolidation for my student loans the deal was to pay $199.00 a month for 5 month to get approval under the Obama tax free program that will leave me free from paying back all government student loan. If I don't get approved I would have a small payment with no interest rate . I've notice in the month of November when I tried calling how difficult it was to reach a company representative but after I clearly left a message about making my payment on the 18 instead of the 15 I received a call back emeditly. Later in the month of November I've be receiving emails from my loan providers that my bill was still past due and actions needed to be taken seriously
well if I'm consolidating all my federal government loans in one payment why am I still getting these email so in December 2015 before I made my last itinal payment on the 15 I have been trying to get a hold of some one and still have not received a call back I left several voice message two email and still no reply I tried waiting on the hotline but eventually after the second voice message the call will end. I have been calling ever day since December 15 2015 - December 18 and I have still not received any information or call back.
Student aid center stole $900 there's an agreement the they have if you not satisfied with there service that they will refound all your money well I find it hard to believe when u can't get a hold of any one. I tried going on there website that also look suspect the web page says that they will not be taking any new applicants indefently and for old applicants to call customer service which bring you back to the automatic voice mail that will eventually end the wait on you . Please if there's any one that's thinking about doing business with student aid center please don't save to head and heart ache and if there's any one seeking legal actions I would love to stand with you to fight these theves
I saw an advertisement on TV about the new Obama Student Dept Reliefe Programs. I called the Student Aide Center and was told that they could stop my garnishments from past student loans. They told me it would cost $1,0000. I sent them $199.00 in April of 2015, $199.00 in May 2015 and $99.00 dollars in June 2015. by July 2015, I could no longer pay the center and my check was still being garnished. They told me to send what I could and I thought that was strange. By October and November of 2015 , I requested a refund. I finally got them to approve the request at least I thought they approved it I was even given a check number and was told that the check was sent out on November 17th and it would take at least 7-10 business days to receive via the mail system. Yesterday December 3rd made ten business days. I noticed that the web site was no longer open and has been closed indefenit and I was unable to reach anyone by phone. I would like to know how can I get my refund. They owe me $498.00. I made payment via my checking account debit.
Student Aid Center is a total rip off. They charge you $199 a month to enroll you in a loan repayment or forgiveness program that is already offered to you for FREE! They are so friendly and easily accessible when you first enter into an agreement with them but that quickly changes when they start receiving your monthly payments. I was enrolled in a income based program with my loan provider. Student Aid Forgiveness charged me a $199 a month for FIVE months to enroll me in this service and "process" paperwork. I could have enrolled myself in the same program for FREE. Please do not let these people get your hard earn money. After I caught on to them, they treated my so rude. I called up my loan institution and they explained how common this situation is. Do your research and never give money to be enrolled or assisted with your student loans.

I was contacted by Student Aid Center because I was behind on my student loan payments. I had inquired about consolidation and repayment.
Student Aid Center stated in I made 9 payments they I would have negative marks removed from my credit report and my loans would be consolidated.
I made 5 payments and then the company disappeared.
They did consolidate some of my loans with a different company, but not all of them. My 5 payments vanished with them.
