I won an online storage auction and just as I won it I got an emergency call from a family member and had to leave immediately out of state. I informed storage treasures immediately and told them i had a family emergency A staff member emailed me and told me they were sorry to here that and they had a back up bidder for the unit.

So, when I got back from out of state, they had suspended my account because I was a no show and said I did not communicate with them about my situation. Well I sent them the emails between them and I and they apologized and said they still had to suspend my account? First of all it was an emergency and second they sold the storage anyway so I think that was very wrong.

I have been bidding on storages and winning them and doing what im suppose to so I dont think that is fare

Scam, Class action law suit should be filed.

You will be charged your credit card if you win a unit and even if the unit is canclled getting your refund back is a nightmare.

i had to call at least 6-8 times only to say i was issued a refund that was not true finnaly after a hour on the phone i got a refund. But thats not even half of it.

Then i was charged a $10..00 a month for a premium service which i dd not ask for when i told them i did not order this service and to take it off it took forever with them on the phone.

As i was on the phone i could here another person telling some else about the same $10.00 charge that i was complaing about they are running a SCAM

If you charge $10.00 per person every month times the thousands or tens of thousands of people hoping no one notices the amount is in the hundreds of thousands a month at the very least.

I would hope someone sees this and starts a Class action Law Suit.

As of today i no longer visit Storagetreasures.com or do any more bussiness with them i would advise the same to everyone.

I have gone back to buying units in person

Hidden Fees for Facility Owners

We signed up, they told us no fees if the unit sells. Buyer pays 10% or 15% of the final price depending on bidder status. We sold our first unit only to see a 10% buyer fee, with an additional 10% deposit (non-refundable) taken off the selling price. So unit sold for $130, buyer paid $13, we only get $117. I called them, they told me it is not a "fee" we pay. Correct, but instead of collecting $130 for the unit, we collet $117 so we are out the $13. When I asked them to show me the terms & conditions I agreed to at sign up, they pointed me to their website. They could not provide me with the terms I agreed to. The website terms state "they MAY charge a fee based on the final bid from 0-10%". Too much of a gray area for me, we are no longer doing business with them.

Horrible Service

We bid on 5 units.. It did not tell us we were outbid and appeared to have us as winning all 5 units we were bidding on. Then it did not do a "soft" close where the bid time increases by 2 minutes each time a new bid is placed but still had not told us we were outbid. Also, our bid amount (150) was the high bid. Evidently another bidder had a higher max bid entered but the bid did not go to 160 (and say we were outbid) like it should have, it remained at 150. If you are "outbid" someone has bid higher than you; not the same amount! This kept the overall bid down on these units and was unfair to the facilities selling the units and the tenants that have the bid amounts credited towards their outstanding balance that is subject to collection. When we arrived to get our units we were told we had only won 2 of the 5. We like to bid on multiple units, especially when we are driving 3 hours (one way) to get them and it just isn't cost effective for us to win one or two units. We were told we had the option of not paying for the units after driving 3 hours, which would have been very unfair to the facility selling the units and stupid since we already had driven 3 hours in a box truck with a trailer. We have the printouts showing what I have stated above. I have called multiple times only to hear that a supervisor would call me back. That has not happened. Horrible customer service! We have cancelled our subscription and will just use LockerFox from now on.

I won three auctions last week on a thursday. I requested to cancel them bc they were all in the orlando area and i didn't feel it was the right time to be down there in the midst of all the things going on in the entire area.

I was told i couldn't cancel despite the circumstances and would be banned from storage treasures indefinitely if i didn't pay for them and go get them.

My option was to take a very short extension that only allowed until tuesday.. Not adequate time...

I bid and win units almost weekly and feel insulted and that moral character is certainly lacking.

I'm sure i'll be banned because of this as i just haven't been able to make myself go to orlando yet to try to get these units..

It has completely changed the way i feel about wanting to willingly give my money to this company when winning an auction... I'm so disappointed.. There should certainly be some sort of a reasonable allowance to this in events such as this and other emergencies...

Guess i'll start looking to spend my money elsewhere...

Don't bid if you cant clean them out!

Don't bid on the units then if you can't go down there to clean them out.
