I bought 3 storage units I would have had 4 but the nice one canceled after i won the bid them I go to the storage place and they had taken 2 units and put junk in them and put them up for auction ..you can't win trust me the owners get the stuff n you pay to clean trash out ...I seen them checking a unit using a metal detector I guess for gold and totally going thru box by box this is worse then a casino....never ever will I do this again the sad part was they said there was a guitar in the unit and it was a kids guitar lol plus a jewelry box that had been gone thru ...sad I fell I to this at Christmas but lesson learned
Storagetreasures.com in July launched their new website with new features and all the upgrades they thought neccessary, which was a complete failure because all their buyers and sellers were experiencing problems throughout the site. In August, they were still facing the same issues.
As I buyer, I had placed bids on multiple auctions that were ending on August 14th. Because of all their problems, storage treasures had offered all their buyers "no final fees". So on August 14th, four auctions that I was bidding on closed with me as the highest bidder.
When this happened, storage treasures extended the auctions 30 more days. I tried calling them, but with their bad customer service, I spent hours calling them everyday to be able to get ahold of them prior to September 14th. Prior to September 14th, I had told them what had happened and all they were doing was appologizing, making excuses to why the auctions myseteriously reset themselves, but didn't cancel the bidding that was previously done.
Once the auctions ended the second time around, storage treasures charged me 15% on the auctions I had won and I lost 3 other auctions because of the extension. When I contacted storage treasures on October 3rd and asked them to issue a refund on the four units that I won based on what they had promised their customers because of the website issues, they refused and instead offered me a premium membership free for 2 months. I don't want the membership and if I did, I would pay for a full year.
I'm not a lawyer, but when you're doing a lien sale, and there is a time frame that the auction is going to be up, the minute it closes, it ends, which storage treasures did not do here in California. So I am hopeing there is a lawyer out there in California that wants to help out with making sure that websites like storagetreasure, do not rip off their customers after they promise them something.
