Living at Stony Creek was hell, between the rats, the roaches, and the bedbugs you had to deal with a maintainence guy who owned his own used furniture business and that was okay with management, and then there was ineffective and dishonest management.
I was living at Stony Creek in a two bedroom apartment, I was going to move and the neighbor who was my friend, wanted to move into my apartment before I moved out because her apartment was infested with roaches.
We talked to management and the maintainence man who was more in charge than management and it was decided that Willow move into my apartment. I did not move and leave the apartment vacant, she moved in with me and her stuff to get away from the roaches.
The roaches were actually falling on her from the ceiling it was so bad.
So, I moved out then Stony Creek proceeded to do some "upgrades" AFTER I moved but the apt. was not vacant.
They took out the carpet as part of the renovations that were going on as a matter of course and replaced it with laminate.
They were going to do that anyway.
Somewhere in here I get a call from Phoenix Recovery Systems another bunch of crooks out of San Antonio. They told me that Stony Creek was charging me for
Replacing carpet with new carpet...................that didn't happen
Cleaning the apartment..........it was never vacant and never cleaned by anyone but me and the new tenant.
I tried to talk to Stony Creek management but got nowhere, I called 3M Management, got nowhere also. Now I owe over a grand for things that did not even happen and there is no recourse.
Do not move to this rat and roach infested place, it is near the creek and constantly has insects and rats. There are also usually heroin addicts and meth freaks there at night from God knows where and they are usually in the laundry room hitting up.
These people are crooks, what is right does not matter to them, only money AND they won't even talk to you about settling.
TAKE PICTURES, IF you move there, but if you have another place, go there, they are total rip off artists and it's an old and nasty complex.
