Stoneridge Dental Group and Orthodontics Reviews
On November 30, 2019 I had a lower denture installed at Stoneridge Dental Group and Orthodontics in Moreno Valley. I was told that it was a temporary denture and may need to be replaced in 6 to 9 months but I would have to pay for them since insurance only covers one set. Never having dentures before I took it at face value.
This denture has never fit properly. Even using denture adhesive, I need to reapply 2 or 3 times a day (one application should last all day). I can only eat soft foods because I can chew with these dentures. I went back in on March 3rd and all they said was the denture was temporary and I needed new one at a cost of about $1800.
First and for most, this denture was never correct, secondly there is no way I can afford that amount on a fixed income (retired). I called four dentists in the area who accept my dental insurance and asked them if they also do temporary dentures. Everyone said no. They make the dentures and yeas they often need to be adjusted and the mouth changes after have had original teeth extracted. But the do a procedure called relining which is covered by insurance. Stoneridge said they don’t do that.
Having said all this, I strongly believe that Stoneridge is defrauding not only me but other patients by having us pay full price for a second denture.
