Not positive i chose the exact placement for this report but here you go.STEAM requires you to give them your game code from retail box. Once you give it to them and get another computer and use a new email(becaused your old email password is on the crashed Hard drive) They will not honor the Code again even though i am looking right at it and the disc in front of me. Yes i had the password written down but cannot find it now.That was a looong time ago Thanx STEAM,we see how a gaming company can use something like what you created not to mention any names..B E T H E S D A . ;o)
As for faisBook tracking this site, my extention retainer pops up during the "we wont sell any info" page you put all your sensitive information on so start expecting new trash in your email boxes sorry . Try using bogus info LIKE ME to avoid it if it is not too late.
Back some time ago i purchased fsx flight simulater deluxe and lately I attempted to move it to another computer an the system wouldnt let me move it I several attemps to try and contact them about this issue and like most websites the let you contact them by any other means other than texting, which by the way I attemted that as well and no avail was I able evoke a response from them.
I emplore all people interested in using them as a game or entertainment resourse to not using them. I am theroughly disgusted and pissed off at the Steam website.
I purchased a video game via Steam when they were having a summer special going on. After downloading and installing the game, it would load for a very, very long time, crash during gameplay, not sync the audio in time with the game.
When asking for a refund they emailed me stating I played it for more than 2 hours - which is a lie seeing that I told them that it took a long time to load, which shouldn't count as 3 hours! It's a shame that Steam doesn't have a direct email or phone number to contact. If they did, perhaps this report wouldnt've have been posted on here.
They allow your account to be hijacked and do not provide any support whatsoever when you attempt to contact them in regards to your issues!
You'll go around in circles, endlessly for weeks on end, in an attempt to recover your account.
There are no real human beings available to address your issue, just a phony online support system that gets you nowhere!
They are absolutely evil, and extreme cowards as they do not have an actual toll free support number where you can actually speak with a live customer support person - they don't even have an online chat support system!
I have spent weeks now trying unsuccessfully to recover my account and the issue is actually very simple!
Please avoid Steam at all costs if you value human dignity and integrity and your rights as a consumer!!!
