I was recently disturbed by a couple of guys from Steakhouse Direct. They came to my door with a story that they had an order cancel could I help them out they could not return with the product. I told them I would at least take a look. From the moment they entered my home they were very pushy and at times down right rude. I told them I could not spend $500 without speaking to my husband who was at work. They informed me that I could make that descison that I do not call him to ask him to spend money at the grocery store and that he would surely eat it if I cooked it for him. I told them at least a dozen times that I did not want to do it with out discussing it with my spouse first. Finally I told them I had 200 left on EBT that i could use to try what could I get for that. Miracously the whole case of beef was 200. The product was said to be choice beef but frankly it was subpar at best. I called the very next day to cancel my order and still have recieved no refund or call back at that. This was over a month ago. I was informed by the sheriff that i had a three day cancellation window I was within that window. These guys have really messed me all up. I have had to get a new EBT card because When i went to the store the 9th they had charged 200 a second time and yet I did not get a second case of meat. If you see this company lock your doors and pretend to not be home.
A couple of guys stop by my mothers house the other day, she is elderly, and after talking to the neighbors apparently she's the only one that they contacted on the street... They drive around with pickup trucks with deep freezers in the back trying to get older folks to buy ridiculous amounts of uninspected unlicensed food. mostly some kind of prepackaged red meat and poultry. after contacting the Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania I found that no legitimate company would be allowed to transport food in the type of freezer that you would have a home, especially not,open and exposed to the air in the back of a pickup truck...
For obvious reasons.... and expecially summertime, besides how to the even plug that thing in? The idea of these jackasses running around targeting old folks in our community makes me sick to my stomach probably as much as the meat would have been at yet purchased it. they have a websitebut has no real capability other than to tell you the kind of stuff they have and then invite you to call them in which case they try to get talk to you in the letting them come into your home and asking all kinds of questions like how old you are how long you lived in your home things like that they don't seem really relevant anything to do with dinner... I'm investigating this further in contacting the local news media in the area
