Stauer, LLC Reviews

Stauer sent me multiple items when I only wanted one. They said I could return what I did not want.

I returned all the items except one pair of ear rings that I wanted in the first place. This item was priced at $118.95 plus shipping $19.95 for a total of $138.90.

Stauer charged me $334.25. This is the price of the more expensive ear rings that I returned as soon as they arrived. The invoice date is 11/02/17. Stauer said they received the jewelry I returned. Stauer said they would lower my charge to $306. This is still wrong.

The ear rings I kept are green Helenite without any diamondauras. I purchased a one year Stauer membership which I will not be using because I will not ever do business with Stauer again. I will not recommend Stauer to any one.

STAUER refuses to remove name from mailing list

Even after repeated calls and emails to customer service this company is unable or unwilling to remove my name from their mailing list and I continue to receive catalogs and coupons and flyers. Do not do business with this shady company.

After my father's death, I systematically began calling the charities and catalog stores he contributed to or bought from, so that his wife would not be troubled by ongoing mail solicitations. With the exception of Stauer, everyone was polite and immediately removed his name and address.

The Stauer rep informed me she could not remove my deceased father's name from their catalog mailing list "unless I had a Power of Attorney or a death certificate!" I was so shocked, I asked her what the f*** she was playing at, and said if she did not remove his name and cease exploiting grieving families, I would report Stauer to the BBB. She told me if I did not act professionally, she would hang up. I told her if SHE were professional, she would know a Power of Attorney lost effect with the death of the individual. I asked to speak to a supervisor.

I was put on permanent hold.

2 hours later, I called back, told a different service agent I wanted to remove "my" name from their catalog mailing list. She took the customer number, my Dad's name (I'm female - she didn't care) and removed it.

Pack of poorly educated idiots.

I purchased a watch which arrived on August 8, 2017 but didn't have the characteruistics described in the catalog. I returned that item the same date. I chose to exchange the item for a different watch that cost only $29.95, and required that the excess in price be returned, $49.05. Today, August 17, 2017, I contacted the company and they informed me that would take up to three weeks to complete the exchange process, including the devolution of my money. Please, investigate.

I purchased a Stauer automatic calendar watch with several complications for < $100, supposed normal price $399. I knew it must be a cheap watch due to the number of complications. Got it home and it surely was very cheap, mostly plastic including a plastic crystal. Also had quite a tacky appearance and was very light weight which gave it a cheap feel. I flet it was not worth the $99 I paid and immediatley sent it back. I bought a $25 automatic at a local flea market which was actually a much better watch than the Stauer. If you buy one, it may look good but you bought a very low end product.

In January 2017 I saw an ad in a magazine for a beautiful watch at discount price from Stauer. I oredered the watch. The money was taken from my bank and the watch delivered. March 29th Stauer charged my bank account $99.99 twice, for two more wartches I did not order and had no chance to shoose a style even if I HAD ordered them. The watches have not arrived and today is May 15th. I called the Stauer customer service number immediately and cancelled the 'order' I had not made. They told me the watches were coming and I had no option to choose the style or even cancel the order. I cancelled any option they thought they had to send me watches every month I had not signed up for anything like that, one watch at a time is perfect for me and I own a few already!!!! Stauer continued to tell me they were cancelling any future watches, but they were sending the watches anyway that I had already paid for through the bank. I asked for a refund, but I have not received the watches to send them back!!!! They will not refund me until I send back the watches they never sent me and are not on order status. HUHHHHH???

The continue totell me to check my order status. My order status shows only the one watch I bought in January. They told me to email customer service, but there is no way on any of their sites to reach email. Stauer ripped me off by pretending to send 2 extra watches to me two months after I ordered one watch. There is no order for those watches on their site yet the money is missing from my account. I will keep trying to get my money back but I am warning everyone to heed from my experience. Buying a watch from Stauer should not mean you mistakenly join some sort of membership for one watch a month they do not send, and do not bother to inform you you are getting, in a style you do not choose.

Stauer insurance is a scam! My wife bought a $200.00 watch with a 3year full coverage. While in Reno the clasp on the band malfunctioned or broke, my watch was lost. After having the watch for only 2mos. At most! When we called to report the loss we were told 'too bad so sad but the insurance doesn't not coverage loss due to bad maintenance or ignerance! WTF! I thought full coverage was full coverage, and if it isn't then why are they saying that the insurance covers "Loss, breakage malfunction or dissatisfied with purchase" Avoid the Stauer insurance scam! Better yet just avoiding Stauer all together.
