Statewide Remodeling, Inc. Reviews
Dan Harris (sales manager) and Jerry Melton (president) - purposfully cheat their sales representatives out of very hard earned commissions/income. I know of a story where a customer was dragged out over six months and her signature was forged on the paperwork submitted to the bank by someone at Statewide. After several "wrong product ordered" visits, phone calls etc.. - she was told her order was canceled. I worked there for about four months and kept waiting on my commissions. I started asking for reports and then justification as to why the pay was being reduced and/or not paid at all on my sales.
I finally resigned and after four months of reaching out to a myriad of people and attempting to get them to pay me, I am posting this. I got an email from Jerry Melton the president which said "I stand behind our decisions"- in a response to my question - "Dan Harris put a $11,000 charge for "additional work" on a job and I called the customer who said this additional work was not done and by doing this, I did not get paid over $2,000 in commission... but it now shows I owe the company $350." - Yea, that is correct, Jerry Melton responded with "I stand behind this."
This is the most corrupt, nasty, verbally abusive, lie, cheat and steal organization I have ever seen. I come from a professional world and thought this sales career would be above board, fair, honest etc. since they boast to be the largest in Texas (and Florida). There is not enough time and room to tell all the insane stories - but imagine a terrible used car lot - multiply that times 10 - that's working at Statewide Remodeling for Jerry Melton and Dan Harris. I put about 10,000 miles on my vehicle, paid tolls, gas etc. and worked seven days a week, late hours etc. I was paid about $12,000 for approximatelly four months. I can't tell exactly how much I am owed since they won't supply the records I have asked for over and over, but I was turning in what "appeared" to be about $10k a month in income.
Again... I don't have enough space and time to warn the public about this sespool of snakes, but - BE WARNED. I've filed a complaint with the Texas Workforce Board, but given the Coved 19 Virus drama, I'm not hopeful they will force Statewide to pay me what I am owed. I tried to post something on Glassdoor, the Statewide site and another avenue (I think this was Google+)- and the post would not post - Glassdoor kept saying "try to say something a little nicer" and even after several revisions and not putting much execpt "some of the employees are nice" - It wouldn't let me give a thumbs down, rate them a "1" - the other two sources just froze. Not sure how much they spend to behave like the China Comunist Government, but if they would steer that money back to their employees and treat them like agreed upon, the job "churnover" rate would not be like it is...
My time at Statewide Remodeling will always be like a nasty underware skid in my memory and fish stinks from the head down. Jerry and Dan... if you read this, take a good look in the mirror and see if you like who you see. What you do to people and thier familes is discusting.
