DO NOT visit any of the Vidanta properties. The day you land the concierge will tell you to attend a presentation that will show you how to reduce your yearly maintenance fees at your current vacation property.
That presentation is actually a sales pitch to get you to buy into their vacation programs. The presentation will go on for 4-5 hours. Everytime you insist on ending the presentation you will be handed over to a very new sales person. Their job is to find out exactly what you want and then they will tell you exactly what you want is in the contract.
That will be a LIE. You will sign the contract on the first day of your vacation. When you get home and find out that you were lied to they will not cancel your contract because oops you have signed it and now its too late to cancel. I contacted them 10 days after signing the contract and they have not canceled it. This is FRAUD. I signed away my timeshare worth 21000 US dollars plus US dollar 2500 in cash for a one time 5 week accomodation in their resorts.
(I was told I was buying a 2 bedroom a week per year for life so long as I paid 99 dollars every year which was a LIE of course). Be forewarned DO NOT visit any of these properties. The properties are just a front for Fraud, DO NOT visit and give the scam any more energy.
For additional info and other instances of their scams, please Google 'Equity Acquisition Services' and 'Grand Mayan Vacation Privileges'.
I wish I had googled this before booking my vacation....
