I had this fencing contractor come out and give me a bid. He told me a price and I said that sounds good. He kept pushing for a cash deal and I said no I will be doing it via a money transfer so we're both protected. Well the transfer didn't go through in less than 24 hours, which is to be expected with an e check situation. He emailed me the next day and said he jumped the gun and bought all the materials before the money cleared and said he wanted me to give him cash and he would pay out back once the money cleared.
I had no proof of this material being bought. I gave him 700 with him signing a receipt and full email trail of him saying it was just a refundable deposit to hold my position until the money cleared. The whole week he was blowing up my email all day every day. Finally at end of week, he said he was going to just show up at my house and demand money. He was very adamant that I give him more money now until the transfer clears. After being blown up all week and this threat I told him we are canceling this and no longer need his services. Still no proof of fencing materials being bought for my house.
He has stopped responding to inquiries. No money returned, no response. He will not respond back at all about my money. I have every email sent by him and me for proof.
