Stack's Auto Service & Tire, they are pros at what they do, yes they bring the car in and look it over good. Everyone thinks they are so honest. You can get over on people, some of the time but not all the time. I have a 2008 Maxima with 40,000 miles on it, I've been going here for about 5 years now by recomendation. They have been doing my oil changes and NYSI for me. It was time for my Inspection, so I dropped the car off in the beginning of March. I'm always early, I know its due at the end of the month. Well, I received a call around 11:00am telling me my car did not pass Inspection. A "RED FLAG" went up, it was just at the dealer for a recall that was never done. They told me my car was in excellent shape and doesn't need anything. They also asked me if I wanted the car to be Inspected and I declined because I had 2 months to go and I would bring it to Tommy at Stack's Auto Service & Tire.
Going here was a wrong move, I needed front end work and rear brakes, I said nothing and declined the work. I took it to another place very close by and they told me that the lower control arms always have small stress cracks in them because of being on the lift and the wheels hanging. Also the inner tie rods have a small amount of play the first time it is driven when they are brand new. The bill was $900.00 and change plus the rear brakes that were almost half thick, that was another $250.00 from Stack's Auto Service & Tire for a total bill of $1150.00, nice scam. I did not stop there, I then brought it back to the dealer and told them I want my car looked over real good and that I'm going on a trip to Arizona in two weeks. The dealer told me that there was not one thing wrong with my car, so therfore, I had the Dealer do the Inspection. Tommy, the owner is a con artist and a JERK. BEWARE, I've been going here for 5 years and now I feel they took me for a ride two or three times. The lower control arms were changed 2 years ago for the same reason, stress cracks It was a bad design I was told. I GOT RIPPED OFF AND THEY TRIED IT AGAIN I WILL NEVER GO BACK.
