We are a medical practice that just signed a 10-year lease with Stable Development/SHEQ Properties. There have been several red flags. We were supposed to get $90,000 in tenant improvements and they have not done so. Our office is not even finished and we signed the lease on November 10, 2022. It is now January 8, 2023, and we don't have any baseboards, cabinets, or sinks for our exam rooms. We cannot conduct business with an office in this condition. The office was not move-in ready and now they want us to pay rent with these conditions. They cannot provide us with a definitive date when the office will be completed. The office is located in the Westcliff Plaza. There is barely and parking and the number one complaint online with this plaza is the parking issue.
Upon further research into this company, the owner, Lance Bradford, was raided by the FBI for tax fraud. A higher-level employee named Steve Chitren was arrested on 33 counts of theft in 2017. This is all on Google.
