After canceling my account 13 months ago, and taking my website to another Host, they continued to bill my credit card. Even a year later, they hit the credit card again for $233 and I caught them. I did not give them permission to use that credit card. While on the site, with the help of an employee, we cancelled my site and she admitted that my effort to do that on line it not work -- so she did it for me.
Then they kept the $233 for the year plus kept $25 for the second year. They are an unscrupulous, money-grubbing company. I'm now going after them via the credit card company and looking into fraud charges.
On April 24 2017 I was randomly charged by squarespace (I have never heard of this company at the time nor did I use their services) three times $20. Immediately I reported it to my bank and though no problem. I was recently reviewing my statements and I realised all three charges were reversed claims, so my bank account with Chase was given $60 credit and I rested easy only to see later on that my claims were actually reversed and I was still actually charged this $60. I’ve been ignored for months and have no replies from the constant complaints I have filed with squarespace from the contact sources on their site. How is it they are allowed to just charge a random person and get away with it? It would male sense if I at least had access to their services after the charges but I don’t have any confirmation emails or receipts. They charged me without even giving me anything foe the money they took from me.
One thing I found interesting was that I was charged this after I bought a domain name www.looktowardthemoon.com for a 3 year lease and services from wix.com. Is wix somehow involved with this? Why was I charged 3 times? Why do I never get a reply from squarespace?
My direct deposit was made to my account this morning and when I woke up and checked my online balance and total of 7 unauthorized charges for $20 was made from Squarespace.
I signed up for Squarespace under the guise that thier products worked correctly and I thought Squarespace cared about beauty and quality but I was wrong. I spent 4 months building my website to find out that several key features of Squarespace did not work properly and there was no customization of buttons.. They have no working phone and thier customer service is the worst on planet Earth.
I chatted with a rude rep named Sandy B. She cancelled my account without giving me a refund after I complianed about products not working. Squarespace belittled me via chat and they did nothing to help my situation. All Squarespace did when I complianed about my media/videos not playing right on thier mobile site is say
"We have no time frame to fix the bugs in your website, keep paying until oneday when we figure it out and maybe then you can use your website". This was my worst nightmare, imagine being under a deadline, promising customers and investors that you would deliver by a certain date and Squarespace telling you they no time frame when your website will be functional due to bugs on thier end and you must continue to pay for thier mistake until they decide to fix it.
Learn from my mistake and do not use Squarespace.com , Squarespace scammed me and they will scam you out of your hard earned money. Also thier websites are very slow and buggy.. And read thier terms and conditions, Squarespace can and will steal your money and cancel your account for no reason..That is what they did to my account.
