I had Sprint since 1999 and not an issue until they merged and I couldn't dial out, I had many dropped calls and distorted calls. Spent hours repeatedly with their "tech support" resetting phone and updating, went to Sprint Store to change SIMM card, still didn't work, went back to talking to "tech support" they said someone was going to check the tower and never happened.
I use my phone for business and total embarrassment with many clients because my phone service was cutting out and dropping their calls. It wasn't just where I work but also at home and I'm near the water. After months of dispair I filed a complaint with the FCC then get a call from Katherine Devoe in the "executive team" office and told her I just want the service cancelled and I shouldn't be charged anything, she even tried to talk me into keeping the service and she has her own special "technical team" that could fix the issue that I refused because they should've had their "special techinical team" working on my service months ago.
They agreed to cancel my contract but not my "early lease termination" fee of $250.00 and wanted me to return the phone and then I got really screwed as during the process I went to start service with Verizon, the Verizon rep told me they would handle my trade in phone as I told them it's supposed to go to Sprint and then Verizon never handled it so then I got charged another $350.00 and they sent my account into collection.
I repeatedly emailed the FCC and they told me I should take the matter further to court. Yeah, you know how much that will cost right. Due to the cheapness of Sprint using a Phillipine call center for customer support that are not properly trained, I advise you do not sign up for Sprint or T-Mobile service.
Was with Verizon for many years with 5 lines active and the monthly bill was only $146 and change. Had some issues with their service and cancelled after speaking with one of your phone sales reps and a promotion that stated, $22. per line for 5 lines and the 5th is free. I only have 3 lines active. The 1st bill came in at $160.00. I called and was told by a second Sprint Rep that the bill was higher because of a cycling period or something. I let it slide after the second rep told me the bill would be down to $118.00 and change in the next month. The next month comes and I then receive a bill for $315.51. I call, speak to many people who are throwing different numbers at me and then speak to a Supervisor named Frank. I literally said to him, " No one would pay $315.51 a month for 3 lines when just before I was paying $146. for 5 from Verizon." He agreed. I told him that would be insanity as NO ONE Person would ever do this. I payed $120.0 until that matter is resolved and he thanked me. Well, I told him go back to the recordings of everyone I spoke with and he would see that I was getting screwed. He gave me a customer care number and told me someone would be contacting me on the matter after they reviewd the recordings. No one has contacted me, and I just received an email stating I am now late paying an additional $190.00 plus or my service would be interrupted. There is no way in HELL that I am paying more than double for less than I was receiving from Verizon. That is INSANITY!! Bottom line: If this matter does not get resolved and quick, I am cancelling service and suing Sprint for a Fortune. I will also make this matter very PUBLIC!
I had signed up for the 2 year plan with Sprint on 3 phones and a air card for internet service. After the two years had expired, I switched the phones over to a supior service at a better rate. I also called Sprint and cancelled the air card internet service. 6 months latter I was contacted by a collection service from Sprint, stating I owed for 3 months service on the air card, that Sprint had suspended it at the 90 day overdue mark. I explained to them it had been cancelled and got transfered to many, many people to retell the situation to. I got nowhere, and still to this day get collection calls, I just hang up, they just want to ware you down till you pay, even when you don't owe it. I call it exportation!
