Ive used there product years ago and it worked great so Im not new to using spray foam kits nor was I knew to there product. I thought it was weird they changed phone numbers and website names (prob suid in the past)
I bought and went to use there product per the instructions even though I used it successfully in the past, the foam was the right color and tecture when I was applying it and started to rise a little, when I went a few hrs later to check it it evapurated into almost nothing!
I called them and tried explaining what happened and how I had taken pics to show them, only to be continuesly interupted by a Rude Cust service Femail agent, when I asked to speak to a manager I was told she was the manager and said they would not refund me nor even replace the failed product because there foam is great and its always the customers fault.
I had no choice but to dispute with my credit card company and stopped payment on there product, now they harrass me daily with paypal invoices emailed to me. I told them to take me to court and I'll prove there product was defective!
Would not recomend! I purchased the Froth kit from lowes (WORKED Great!) you do get what you pay for!
My problem was a failed applicator gun. This led to the inability to finish installing the product. I promptly informed the company. I expected a simple resolution: they'd replace the faulty part. The first response i got was an offer to sell me a new one. When i argued that they're website says they'll replace faulty parts Their website: if your foam it green® kit has a manufacturer defect, we’ll replace the defective item right away.) they stonewalled. Now they say i must provide multiple photos of the gun, from multiple angles, must also provide the weight of the tanks at time of failure, the date of purchase, and the date of use. Well, since i already told them i pulled a replacement gun from another set I purchased 6 sets) and finished the tanks that had the failed gun i'm out of luck. So i was forced to pay $85 for a replacement of an essential part that failed within 5 minutes of use. Since i'd already used 4 successfully i knew how to properly operate them. One of six failed. You can't install the product without the part. This wouldn't be a disqualifier for me if the company made it hassle free to get a working part. But their response has been absolutely shocking to me and everyone else in the industry i've spoken with. Absolutely galling.
Despite their claims, they do not replace defective items right away. They claim "the case is still open." don't take my word for it. Do a bit of digging and you'll find many similar complaints. Once you buy their product, they send you many emails, some with contests for best review. You should never trust a company that offers rewards for good reviews. Their website claims they are "chicago area." if you visit their address you'll discover they operate out of a ups storefront. Their president is janelle munns, who will occasionally respond to complaints by name, but otherwise only goes by janelle m. On most documents. Respectable companies name their chief executives and don't hide their location. Go to the better business bureau, the negative reviews on amazon, or yscam and you'll find many more experiences just like mine. The same product is sold by many others for less. I'd recommend buying from someone with a history of reliably standing behind their product.
I ordered foam it green spray insulation after having made a large order of 16 kits. One of those kits was defective, but I was told since it was over the one year warranty period, I was screwed. I lost about 600 to 700 dollars due to their defect with the product. The tank leaked its accelerant. They ask you to check for this when you call so they know the Chinese made tanks and product are prone to defects. My problem now is that I needed more foam so like an idiot I ordered from foam it green even though they scammed me once. The spray foam from the beginning was the wrong consistency, but I used it resulting in foam the was a little mushy.
Then I used the foam one day ( following all the rules for closing, spraying weekly, etc.... The tank was now open for approximately two or three months) and after spraying it turned into dripping blue sticky liquid and made a mess. Called the 800 number and spoke with Chris he indicated what to do to fix. I was told they would make it right. His solution did not work. He had me send info from tanks and weights again telling me they would make it right. After sending him the info he reverted to email to inform me I had to purchase a new gun for $85- a big discount from the listed price of $115.
This is ridiculous. I paid a fortune for this kit and it does not work so foam it green wants me to buy a new gun without even knowing if that's the problem. Why would I pay for their gun if I followed their directions? I emailed back what if the gun does not solve the problem? Here is where the scope of their great warranty wording "and you get the no worry warranty that helps ensure you get a working kit": They told me I would have to pay to mail the kit from Staten Island, NY to Riverwood, Il and BACK to myself to determine the cause of the problem. This shipping would probably cost me 300 to 500 dollars. In other words their is no warranty.
