Hey guys, hope everybody is well. The following is our honest and candid review regarding our personal experience with the Spotify playlist company Spotify Jedi. Our only goal here is to inform you and prevent you from making the same mistake we did. If you want the jist, they’re a complete and utter scam and we recommend you avoid wasting your money with them. If you want further analysis and more insight, please continue reading.
The first package we purchased was a Spotify Bronze package ($17) along with a second song option ($8.50), not a ton of money obviously, but we just wanted to test them out. We were hopeful at the time and the whole purchase process was relatively smooth. Nothing to complain about here. However, a few days later things stopped adding up and it appeared whatever streams we were getting were fake streams (the song received a total 3 saves out of 2k+ streams, which is a save rate of 0.14% when that same song has a historical save rate of over 4%). The second song we boosted in that same package received zero additional streams other than it’s normal average traffic and it appears there was no campaign AT ALL. Absolutely nothing.
During the few days when that first campaign started, things seemed okay so we also purchased an additional TWO Spotify Diamond Packages ($89 each) for two additional songs. To this day, the campaigns have not started yet (these were purchased 12 days ago) and they don’t show up in the Spotify Jedi portal (which you sign up for when you purchase a package). We also purchased the SoundCloud add-on and a YouTube add-on, which again, has not started and doesn’t appear anywhere in the portal. We were never even asked to put in a link. Spotify Jedi says they don’t do order numbers and customer ID’s so if it wasn’t for our credit card statements there would be no record of any of these payments.
Spotify Jedi literally just took the money and hasn’t said a word since. As of right now we have spent $300+ usd and all we have received is 2000 fake streams. Pathetic. We tried contacting Spotify Jedi at least 4-5 times over the last week (asking for a refund) and they have yet to respond. Their website states there is a 15-Day "no question asked” guarantee but apparently this doesn’t seem to be the case. Long story short, if you’re a hardworking artist who is looking to invest in playlist promotion, stay as far away as you can from Spotify Jedi as they are a fraudulent company scamming artists out of their hard-earned money.
Their communication is terrible and they lack any sense of transparency and honesty. And if that wasn’t bad enough, they even created a website (industry-reviews.com) and gave themselves a glowing review! You guys gotta see it for yourselves...the review won’t be hard to find because it’s the only one on there. We won’t publish their personal info but all you need to know is that the same ppl behind Spotify Jedi are the ones behind industry-reviews.com. It’s not that hard to find out domain registration info but obviously they didn’t care enough to cover their tracks. Anyways, if you guys are looking for a legit company to promote your music on Spotify then stay away from Spotify Jedi, but if you want to work with a scam company who provides fake streams and lacks communication and transparency then by all means go with them.
