I would have saved a lot of money and time. The owner don edward - runs couple of businesses splashpads usa, do it yourself splash pads etc. He is a sweet spoken non-professional. When he comes for new sales, you will be impressed. He will offer you a deal 5-10k lower than other and promise the world to you. His crew will come, start the work and then disappear after taking initial 50%-70% or so. Thereafter you are at his mercy to pick up your calls. If you call from some unknown number, he will pick it up and will say that i am just getting off the plane and will call you in few min.. And that's it.. If you are lucky to get him on the phone next time, he will say the crew is on the way and should reach by tomorrow afternoon but nobody will show up.. I was supposed to start the work in feb 2015 and finish by april 25, 2015 Yes the year was 2015). Nothing happened in 2015. It did impact my business but since i hadn't paid anything then, i wasn't concerned that much. He reached back and promised to start early jan 2016 and finish it in 10 days. Crew came in late january and started the work, i paid him almost 70% of the project Me - idiot -- yes) but fortunately using credit card. Crew promised that they will be back after a week but no body show up for 8 weeks and then i called the credit card company to dispute the transaction Around last week of mar). Thereafter i got a call from mr edward and after waiting for few additional weeks, i was told the crew is on the way and should be here in another 36 hours. Nobody show up for 15 days.Finaly on apr 15th the crew show up. They worked for two days, and since it was raining, they want to head home to utah From dallas) and promised to come back within a week. One more month has gone and now i am signing up another vendor to complete the work.
So here are my suggestions
1. Avoid working with this company Totally unprofessional, unethical)
2. If you can't avoid, have a clear clause of start date, finish date of the project along with penalty clause in the contract
3. Don't make any payment till the work is complete. I have burnt my fingers.
4. Don't count on any warranty support
5. Assume all the risks of installation as nobody will stand by their work
So the question is, do you really want to get all this headache for a small saving of 5k That too if your project is completed). There are couple of other complaints on unfinished projects. I am now convinced and agree with one of the fellow complainant that this company is known for shotty work, unprofessional conduct and disregard for keeping a schedule. You should consider yourself lucky if your project gets completed.
