I have been a victim false and misleading information when contacted by South Dade Toyota dealership regarding an inquiry I made online regarding a Tundra 4x4 2021 . South Dade Toyota is unethical using deceiving methods of false offers and misrepresentation. They offered IN WRITING a vehicle that they did not intend to sell by not honoring the price when I arrived for the second time at the dealership.
They mislead me the first time by making me believe I would meet a sales person I was texting and then switching to a an unknown salesperson with different information on the offer. I was informed that the internet sales team does this as a tactic to lure the client into the dealership because that's how they receive payment. They also used price deception and misled me by making the offer with zero downpayment to later add a downpayment adding leather seats when the car has actually fabric seats and the leather seats had to be custom made.
They also failed to disclose information about the car's interior regarding numerous questions on the leather interior. After confronting the lie the dealership was using to raise the price, I learned about the interior being custom made. They tried pressuring me into purchasing a higher priced vehicle than the one I had been offered with the low inventory tactic due to the pandemic.
They are a true example of auto dealer fraud which is illegal under both state and federal laws and should be investigated for the protection of the consumers. No one should have to go through this in order to purchase/lease a car.
