When i dropped my phone in January, i had a slight damage to the screen. However, the phone was working A1. The screen was not cracked, just slightly damaged. For vanity purposes, since the phone was working really well - an iPhone X - i elected to pay the hefty amount of $400 to have the screen replaced.
SOS Phone (http://www.sosphone.ca) seemed to be a trustworthy company so i put down a deposit. They ordered the piece and i came back a week later to have it installed. Prior to installation, they checked all the phone functions and their report indicates everything was working.
During the replacement of my screen, they damaged the phone rendering the Face ID recognition dysfunctional, voice calls don't work properly - i have to use either bluetooth or speaker to have a normal conversion and the GPS is not working properly.
They clearly damaged my phone. They promised they would repair it at a different shop located 2 hours away and i have to leave my phone for a week or so.. the thing is it use it for work. I need an iphone. They couldn't provide it to me. Then covid-19 happened. I kept quiet for a few weeks.
They never reached back to me and now they are making excuses about a store not re-opening yet all the stores in the area are allowed to open and all the stores are just open. They can't give me a date. I asked for a refund and they are saying they have to remove what i bought. They are stalling and now they are not responding or offering any kind of solution in the short term. I have been very patient but now they are just jerking me around and they won't either refund it without condition or fix the phone by getting the piece they need without giving me lame excuses.
I got ripped off. I paid $400 and now i have a phone that doesn't work properly and is broken and they don't want to resolve it in a satisfactory manner.
