I don't like writing bad reviews; this means I received a poor quality product. In this case, it was a pair of Sorel 1964 winter boots. Their claims that their boots could withstand temperatures up to -40 are utterly false. I bought a brand new pair on eBay and soon found out once I used them in the weather that they can't even protect my feet in positive temps for more than 20 minutes. Now keep in mind, the only reason I bought these boots was because they had that -40 rating. If I had known that this was a blatent deception, I would have steered clear of this company altogether. Now you may ask why don't I return these boots. I bought them on eBay and this apparently voids the warranty even if they are new. But that is not my problem; that is my fault for not reading the fine print on the person who was selling these boots; he does not offer any refunds. The problem I have is that Sorel claims their boots could withstand an extremely low temperature. And it is blatantly untrue. My issue lies solely with this false claim and It angers me that a company could get away with this. Please, if anyone who is thinking about buying these shoes, make sure you could get a complete refund when you find out they are useless in the winter if you want to be outside for more than a few minutes. I know there must be thousands of displeased people over this scam, but it's all hidden and yes I know I should have just bought them at a big box stores and returned them once I found out how bad they were. Thank you for reading.
