I purchased my Soloshot Model 3 tracking camera about two years ago and early this year I took them up on their offer to upgrade the unit to their new Model 3+ for the amount of $495. I sent them the camera on March 3, 2023 to an address in Spring Valley, CA. After five months and some haggling, I received the upgraded camera back on August 3, 2023. However, the camera did not work properly in that it would not read the SD card, and because of that the camera's tag will not charge, making the camera basically useless.
I was asked to return the camera "for a closer look" at the problem which I did almost two weeks ago but since then they will not answer my emails or phone calls about its status.
Soloshot has three addresses in the San diego area. The one in Spring Valley is a mail drop as is the one on Executive Sq in San Diego. The address for them at 5440 Morehouse Drive, San Diego, on the San Diego Better Business Bureau's site, is now incorrect as this address is home to another business. Soloshot hides their actual location in the San Diego area.
With the $1050 cost of the original camera and the $495 upgrade, I am out about $1600 with tax and do not have a working camera after more than five months and with the company not willing to respond to my emails or phone calls.
On 12-27-2015 I ordered a soloshot camera, a tripod, and a rain cover (order# 23410321) totaling $564.31. From 12-27-2015 to December 20, 2018, numerous phone calls and emails were sent and received discussing delivery dates.
After numerous years of alleged "troubleshooting" and "advancements," the camera and accessories were never delivered. So, on December 20th, 2018 Soloshot offered a refund. I agreed to the refund. But, ultimately, they refused to provide that as well. It's now April 2019, and they have refused to send the camera or the refund.
