Ruined our whole vacation and stay in france

terrible nightmare this women barbara created for us.

after a long flight she NEVER SHOWED UP to meet us to let us into the holiday rental!

after phoning her several times she acted as if she was doing US a favor by showing up nearly 5 hours late.

imagine how exhausted we were after traveling nearly 10 hours and having 2 small children in tow.

the apartment was a mess and there was human waste in the toilet. she merely laughed it off.

dropped us in front and left us struggling with the luggage couldnt even be bothered to open the door or show us around the apartment or give us any sort of information.

most concerning she insisted on HOLDING OUR PASSPORTS

we got into a huge fight with her refusing to give them over.

where does she get off holding our passports for the duration of our stay?

ive traveled quite a lot over my life and NEVER had someone try to TAKE my passport

i had read other stories online about this women and her husband and their poor excuse for a business

but i never thought it was just fussy people or the like. im easy to please so i just assumed it was just online gossip.

the owner from netherlands clearly had NO IDEA that he had knowningly hired a complete untrust worthy....

LAZY , THIEF to watch over his condo.

after calling him directly explaining that were not going give up our passports.. lord knows what this barbara lady had planned or why she insisted!

he agreed with us completly and fired her !!

he had to come all the way from netherlands the next day just to try to sort out the mess and get our deposit and payment from this barbara women.

it was a huge mess.

she did not go willingly let me tell you!

she caused a huge scene with a complete lack of professionalism.

and infront of my children none the less. screaming and yelling.. this lady is very unstable to say the least.

sorry if im not explaining this correctly. we are just here in the holiday rental now after sorting this a few hours ago.

i felt i needed to share this online right away to any and all people dealing with this "company"

they cannot be trusted be very very careful whome you do business with !

Purchased a property in cannes city center last year.

hired solemar property management to perform basic tasks such as welcoming our guests and apartment rental clients ,who booked with us via a holiday rental website.

We thought we had found someone reliable to watch our house since we live in ireland the distance and troubles with owning a property far away..

HOW WRONG WE WERE

our clients complained that the agent from solemar, named barbara "reeked of alcohol" when arriving late to our residence to provide them with key service.

we feel this could be a safely issue. however we decided to give the solemar representative the benefit of the doubt. she assured us that the clients were just being fussy.

the second set of clients arrived for their summer holiday.

within mere days of the last complaint..solemar had failed yet again! we received urgent texts from our clients.. and emails wondering why no one had shown up from solemar to let them into our flat.

it seems our clients had been "forgotten" by the solemar staff. leaving our clients waiting outside our flat for more than 4 hours!

we told solemar that we could no longer do business with them.

solemar kept ALL of our money. refusing even a partial refund for the 1 year installment we had paid to them in advanced, and in good faith.

despite only receiving a mere few weeks of "services"

Solemar should not be trusted with your hard earned money, or if you care at all about your clients or your holiday rental

to top all of that off. they had neglected to bring in our paito furnishings at the end of th summer season (as i had requested to them 3 times to make a note that it was our sole request)

The property owner hired barbara and her husband to manage the property which we stayed in for a holiday in cannes. solemar property management company

The first time we met barbara at the meeting point to take us to our holiday rental,

she guilted us about being 15 minutes late. sighting that the petrol was very costly, and that us, her clients were wasting her time. we apologized repeatedly. she demanded that we give her 50 euros to cover her "wasted time "This being our first trip to france we didnt know that she was scamming us.

we gave her the money, dispite that the propery owner pays her 100s of euros a month to manage the property and arranging to meet us was part of her job.

we called the owner and he told us he was very embarrassed and that she should not have scammed us for cash.
