Velocity solar that changed there name Solar Max while doing my install. Overall I use way too much power for this application as I am now quite informed on how this all works, my fault for not doing my homework before hand but it is a 4180sqft 3 story home with two AC's so it going to use a lot of power.
Over all despite having the panels moved to the correct location after over 9 months and the addition of 2 more panels, the power went from 15-17kwh to 22kwh. The system dose not make enough power to offset my power bill to anywhere near zero as promised and advertised (see attached pictures). 30kwh max output daily is all that it is capable of making on a great day during summer / I use closer to 60 to 100kwh per day on average according to my power bill.
The system cannot make that amount of power even if I cut evey tree down on my 5 acres. Before they touched the house this is something that I relayed to the company thru the site manger Jared & Skyler was my power consumption and I was worried that it wasn't going to work to cover that volume and it was going into winter.
At no time was anything said that it would not produce that amount of power, instead I was reassured everything was fine and it would make enough power to get me to net zero or close. I questioned the continued power bills each month. I was pressured to close the loan by Jared before the monitoring service came online and I could see what it was making.
As a company doing an insulation of solar the average daily power consumption should been the top priority to know to make sure it was going to work and it was the right fit for the customer, we could of stopped before the installation got started.
6 months ago before they move the first set of panels and I was making 12kwh with all 23 on the lower roof, I questioned this and a $380 dollar power bill and was assured that it could be fixed. I did this every month as the power bills kept coming in with no savings... This project has been one mistake after another and I am the one holding the bag, $35,000 that will take a loan payment of $240 this loan is for 20 years.
This whole project should have been scrapped from the start, now its a huge mess. I am expected to pay for this like it is for the next 20 years unsure if will even cover the loan or I going to have to default on my loan as Iam not paying for something that doesn't work for 20 years. I am not happy doesn't begin to describe how Ive been screwed over with this project.
Its far from working and defiantly not what I was sold It doesn’t cover the loan payment so I have a power bill and a loan payment now. My additional $10,000 battery does basically nothing other than run a few outlets / because it cannot handle the power load this system should have had a back up generator not a battery but they make more on the battery and that’s what they talked me into.
So I am stuck with a system that dose not work for its application, I was scammed and ripped off and lied to.
