Solar Service Help Reviews

I have never met a more fraudulent company in my life! They should be prosecuted. We purchased a home that already had solar panels. We were not given the solar contract until I emailed Kilowatt financial a few months later for it. All we did was complete an application with the escrow officer. A few solar contractors have commented that the contract they gave me is not the full contract. I have requested by phone and email for the full contract and they refuse to give it to me. One day I contacted Kilowatt financial due to the solar panels making a very loud noise. According to the contract, Kilowatt financial is responsible for repairs and maintenance so I requested someone come fix the solar panels. They refuse.

I have contacted multiple solar contractors to help us fix the solar and they say legally they cannot without Kilowatt financial’s permission. The solar monitors located on the side of my house do not work and We have to pay a high electric bill So I requested proof of how much solar energy the solar panels were producing because according to the contract, our solar bill is charged .0167 per KWH. They even admitted they don’t know how much my solar panels are producing so how do they know what amount to charge me every month? It’s been 3 years and they do not intend to do the right thing.

They are seriously collecting our money every month and have no problem committing fraud because they are getting away with it and they have the power to do so because of the solar lien on our home.

I have had solar panels on my roof that was installed by Trinirty Solar. The instillation was awesome. The lease company that was originally used was clean power. They went out of busniess and the lease was picked up by Kilowatt Financial. This company is a nightmare to try and deal with. Recently our electric bill tripled in july. The solar meter stopped working. This company continued to send out bills for a system that that the meter didn't work. For 4 months.

Numerous phone calls, emails (20) without a response. Trinity solar reached out. The company that was supposed to fix the system couldn't reach them either. They needed a work order to do anything. In the meantime the local electic company was billing very large bills and Kilowatt was to. After 4 months we finally got a work order for a new meter. It took 10 min. for the install. Guess what, a new bill was sent based I guess on a estimate. We have no sighned agreement with this company. I have informed this company that no money will be paid until this straightened out. No ackowledgement at all.

In 2012, I leased my solar with a different company who filed for bankruptcy in 2017. My account has been taken over by 2 other compaines since then, without any issues. In April of this year Kilowatt Financial apparently has my account now, and there has been nothing but issues ever since. Received no notice that they were taking over my account. I have auto pay with my payment due on the 15th of each month, however, they have taken a payment out anywhere from the 6th- the 23rd of the month. My statements also continually show a past due amount for $14.31. How is that possible, when I have auto pay? In Oct, they took the payment on the 6th, which overdrew my account. Due to the pandemic, money is VERY TIGHT. And my lastest statement, which I received on the Oct 26th, doesn't reflect the Oct 6th payment, so they are double billing me.

I have attempted to contact them no less than 20 times via phone in the last 2.5 weeks, with my average hold time of 45 mins, before I am disconnected. Today, Oct 27th, I was on hold for an hour and (14) minutes (which I have a photo of). On the recording, it says that you can leave a callback #, and as soon as the next representative is available, they will call you back, but I have yet to receive even (1) callback in the (5) times I have left my #. They also say for faster service, email them. Well, I have emailed them (3) times (first one was Sept 8th) in regards to billing with ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSE!!!

I am also trying to refinance my home, and according to their recording, I am suppose to email them and make sure I provide a list of information. Well, in addition to the (3) emails for billing, I have emailed them an additional (2) times, at a different email address, providing all of the information requested, and again NO RESPONSE!!! My lender has also called and emailed numerous times, and has also received no response.

This is UNACCEPTABLE!

No one answers phone calls. You sit on hold for hours. No one responds to e-mails. They have been double billing ACH Debits to my checking. Problem started in September, 2020. I lease my Solar panels. Never had any problems until now. Numerous e-mails sent.

No responses other than sending automated e-mails saying: " Due to Covid-19 we are experiencing delays" I can not afford for them to be taking double lease payments out of my checking account. I need help to resolve this. I am in New jersey. Does anybody have any sugestions?

I purchased solar panels back in February 2015 through verengosolar (Finance through Kilowatt PPA) they showed up at my home.I am just going to say the solar panels they gave me didn't help and instead ny bills went up from 2300 to 3200 because I had to pay the bill to 2 companies instead of 1. But then I requested the buy out option in March 2020, since that has been 5 years. and sent several emails, phone calls and letters and they ignored me.

Finally I had to file a complaint with Office of the Comptroller of the Currency Customer Assistance Group 1301 McKinney Street, Suite 3450 Houston TX 77010 and CFPB Federal Trade Commission which is what finally got me an answer. If you are having issues and can't get any answers with this company file a complaint you can do it online. https://www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint/

I bought my home in 2016 here in Arizona, and it came with a solar lease attached to it. Since I bought my home the original company filed bankruptcy and sold to another company. I never had a problem with my billing until Kilowatt Financial took over my contract. They took it over in April and in the beginning I had no problems. In September they debited my account on the 6th of the month, and it is not supposed to be debited until the 15th of every month. Well then on the 22nd of the month, they once again debited my account.

Unfortuantely my lease says I have to be signed up with auto debit. I tried to call, but of course they are 2 hours ahead of Arizona time so by the time I get home and am able to call they are closed. So I sent them an email on the 23rd of September, with no response, or refund. Well here we are on the 6th of October and guess what, they debited my account again. I have once again emailed them and dont expect a response. I am a single parent on a single income and am really frustrated. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.
