On 7-14-17 while trying to download something completely unrelated i wound up signing up for the "services"of software pros. I realized right away that i had screwed up and emailed them, explaining my mistake and asking them to cancel my account. 2 days later i got an email saying they had cancelled my account and "issued a full refund minus the $9.99 usd processing fee as stated in the terms and conditions. Please allow 2-10 business days for the refund to post to your account."
I was not totally happy with this but i figured i did screw up. As of today, 9-18-17, my refund still has not posted to my account. I have emailed them several times and got no response. The last email i sent was on 9-28-17. I told them then that if i did not hear from them soon i was going to share my experience with outscam. Still no response. Calling them is a joke too. Female voice with maybe a british accent and there is no way to speak to a live rep. The only way i got a phone # was that it was on the charge line when i checked my checking account. And the charge was $67.74! ! !
I was downloading iTunes and it popped you saying getting 3 years of downloading for 16 dollars and 2 years for 18. So I choose they 3 year term, once I checked my bank account, it was not for software pro it was software 888-769-3 Sheffield Vilohouse that charged me 88 vice 16. There was no number for me to call to clarify this charge.
Software Pros advertised on the internet a free download of AVG Anti-Virus Software. I ordered the download and was given AVAST Anti-Virus Software and two charges on my credit card for $88.82. I immediately contacted Software Pros through email on their website and voice mail on their telephone number. I received an email back two days later explaining they would cancel the order but keep $9.99 handling fee as per the contract. However, I have not received any reimbursement of my two credit card charges to this date.
I needed virus protection so I went to google playstore and picked avast. I payed 18 and some change for a years protection, went to the dr. and couldn't pay my bill, I am on afixed income and I knew I was down to my last 100.00. I went home and checked my bank account and this company had taken 88.82 out of my account.
Would not down Load with two different error messages. When I wrote a report to support, I was advised that it would be up to 12-24 hours before they could assist me because of the high volume of request for support. Do Not reply to the email from them it would only delay their response even longer(twice via emails I receive. Checking my card company, I was advised that this Company had charged my card $87.74 and gave an incomplete Phone number to my card Bank.
>Last month (November 2016), I was downloading Avast Free Antivirus onto my new laptop when a special offer from Software Pros popped up offering technical assistance for $2.95 per month, to be billed monthly. I fell for it (excited for the possible help) and they charged my account $62.95! I'm on a disablity income so no way I could afford this.
When I tried the 800 number on the bank charge, it did not work, so I went online and found 1-888-770-4692. You will NEVER get a human but I've left messages on every extension and sent emails to all of their "Support" emails. I got one message back saying they would refund my money, MINUS a $9.99 service charge within 2 to 10 business days. It read:

Today is December 8th, and I am yet to see that refund. I have left them a number of messages and sent emails, to no avail. I gave them a chance to fix it, but they choose not to do so. I will also be filing a report with the BBB.
I downloaded AVG from the AVG website and paid a years price of 2.95. Later i noticed that AVG didn't charge me anything but a company i've never heard of chareged me almost 70.00. They sent me an email so I went to their website and I have no clue who they are or how they got my bank information. I will be calling Bank of America in the morning to stop this from being stolen from my account.
Since i didn't authorize this charge i do not know if it was a credit transaction or debit transaction.
I searched Bing for Spybot Search and Destroy to get rid of a malware issue on my computer. The first item Bing showed me was "www.Spybot-SearchDestroy.com." Thinking this first return must be valid, I entered the website and paid $16 for a three-year "unlimited downloads" subscription to Spybot. Only then did I see that the site I was using now bore the name "Software Pros" and not "Spybot-SearchDestroy."
To my consternation, my "order" simply redirected me to the real Spybot, from which I downloaded their **free** anti-malware software and was asked to make a donation, which I did (they shouldn't suffer because I was stupid).
Confirming that Software Pros is fraudulent, this company sent no email to confirm my transaction, and when I checked with my credit union I found that my credit card had been charged $88 instead of the quoted $16.
I immediately canceled my current card and will be receiving a new one. Tomorrow (Monday) I'll speak with my credit union to see what else if anything I can do, but I suspect I'm out of packet from this scam site.
I just read where a guy got ripped off from softwarepro, for 70.00 they got me for 96.00, and I downloaded an otherwise free download, spybot, I was able to go thru my history and make it back to support, and told them I want my money back, 2 emails, they have a 3 day grace period, anyway I called my card holder, they canceled my card, an said I have to wait 5 days before i can file, I got 2 emails back from Softwarepro, both saying they recieved my complaint, please do not respond to the email, today all I get is nothing, web page unavailabe, ect, ect, I will post the outcome from this, thnx everyone
I was trying to purchase and download Avast Virus Protection. I was on Avast's site and when I clicked the purchase button it sent me to Software Pros page where I entered in my credit card info. The purchase was supposed to be for $18.96 when I checked my account this afternoon they charged me $96.77. I was unable to download the virus protection the website for Sofware Pros did nothing it kept timing out!
It is extremely annoying and scary that you can't even get virus protection without being scammed by some idiot company.
I hope whomever runs this deal gets the max and has to pay back everything plus some to the people they are stealing from. Including ME!

This company is a total FRAUD.

They used a deceptive link from Spybot Search and Destroy. The link sent to a sigth to pay $16.95.
