This company, whatever their name is, gets businesses to believe that they will send you a modem, which you somehow hook up to your home computer or internet modem, and then they will post ads on YOUR Facebook or Google account - and they claim they need this modem installed so that they have control over these ads. What a bunch of crap. They are scam artists. They claim they will pay you $100-$150 per month in return for allowing ads to be posted on your social media accounts.
Most likely they want to use someone else's account to post illegal or sketchy ads - the kind that would get your accounts closed down.
I found out about them when several business owners started calling ME and asking when they were going to get paid, or asking questions about how to hook up their new modem" This company is using my company name, website and contact information and giving it to their "customers".
So I get blamed for their shady tactics. One of their "customers" left a bad review on my Facebook page as a result. They don't have their own website or legitimate contact information. Steer clear of anyone representing themselves as Social Karma (or any iteration of that name) and trying to get you to accept a modem and an offer of monthly payments for advertising on your social accounts.
If someone wants to post on your social media accounts, they should be a paid social media manager for your company and should have administrator login access to your accounts - not a modem that helps them "control" the accounts.
In some cases, people may be paid for one month, which is probably their attempt to say they're legit. But then the payments dry up. I can only imagine what kind of information this modem attached your your internet modem is collecting.
I've had people call me from all over the country (mostly Florida and other southern states) complaining that they're not getting paid for the Facebook posts. Then I look at these people's profile and wonder why anyone would think a company would want to advertise on their wall. They don't have any followers or in some cases what looks like an actual business. They are just being scammed. Luckily they don't seem to be extracting any payments from these people, just false promises of getting paid for doing absolutely nothing. Folks: If it sounds too good to be true, and if you're promised money for no work, it's not legitimate.
This company is a scam! They will send a package to you in the mail first with a debit card and a device that you are to hook up to your internet monitor that is why if you have satellite internet they won’t use you. After you get the package a guy will then make an appointment with you to teach you how to set up the device and the activate the debit card.
The debit card is called pex and you can’t use it at the ATM because they don’t want to use there social security number so they won’t have to pay taxes. They use your google and face ad account and post there advertise on criagslist and it looks like this: *****) unhide compensation: $100 per month We are looking for Google and Facebook accounts to advertise on. If you are not using your advertising section in either of these accounts we would like to use this.
You will not lose your accounts and can still continue to use them normally. Please contact us with your phone number if you are interested in making $100/mo with almost no work required What this company doesn’t tell you is they post illegal ads they used my both my google and Facebook ads for about five months and paid me $150 for both accounts each month on the card sometimes I have to wait two weeks just to get paid and then google shut down my ad account and Facebook ad account as an overdue bill of over $863.74 that they never paid for.
This company doesn’t give you there name or location. After that they never paid me again and i remains my ad account closed and Facebook ad account still overdrawn and they are stil doing it to hundreds of people.
