Smithgear emailed me return instructions on september 19m 2016,, giving me until october 10, 2016 for smithgear to receive the returned equipment. I have documentation that they received it at the address specified within the specified time period.
Smithgear explained in their return instructions that i should look for the refund to be made within a few days of the receipt of the equpment but that it could take up to 5 business days (5 business days from the date they received the return was september 28, 2016).
On october 4, 2016, i sent an email to smithgear, asking them to give me an update as to when i could expect to our refund. I included proof that the package had been received by smithgear on september 21st. No one has ever responded to my email.
On october 12, 2016, i mailed a certified letter to adam smith, the owner of smithgear, demanding our refund. I included the return instructions i had received from smithgear, the delivery confirmation of the returned equipment and my previous email message. Smithgear received my certified letter on october 17, 2016. No one has ever responded to my certified letter.
Smithgear is a horrible company to do business with. I have never dealt with any company, either personally or through my business, in which a matter such as this is so blatantly disregarded. Smithgear has the purchase price that i paid to receive the equipment as well as the equpment i returned - brand new, never used. I intend to turn this matter over to the better business bureau as well as the attorney general.
If I could 0 Stars to this business I would. I ordered 750.00 in electronics(phones) from this company and paid 40.00 for shipping overnight. I ordered these products my time at 3:46pm on 09/29/2016. I received an email from the company giving me an order number but no tracking information. I figured because of the time change the order would ship in the morning on 09/30/2016. At 2:53pm I went back to the website to check my order still had not been shipped so I called. The gentleman on the phone was extremly rude and told me I would not get my shipment until 10/03/2016. How is this overnight shipping? There is nothing on their website which indicates their process for shipping and as a consumer you expect to get overnight shipping as they promise. Because the gentleman did not like my frustration he told me he was cancelling my order and hung up on me. This is the worst customer service and business I have ever dealt with. Would have been their best customer but oh well no one wants to deal with someone who is extremely unprofessional and that expects their customers to know their policies. I will be filing a BBB complaint as well.
