My initial phone call was on 4/11/2018 to request a replacement card. They said that the service would be free if I chose regular mail, but it would take up to 10 business days to receive. I said okay.
In the meantime, I checked my mail frequently opening each parcel to make sure it was not accidentally overlooked since it does not come in a marked envelope.
However as of today, Monday, May 7, 2018, I still have not received my replacement card. When I called and spoke with Becky, I was informed that I could order a replacement card that would be sent out sometime tomorrow on May 8, 2018.
However in order to receive a tracking number, it would require "express service" at a cost of $25. I was also informed that their "express service" equated to "3 to 5 business days"(the quickest option available) so as it turns out it isn't so express. To boot they are making a profit on my postal fees, which I believe is despicable taking advantage of single mothers that need their child support.
To make matters worse, Becky told me that there was no order number nor confirmation number nor tracking number that she could give me for my replacement card. She suggested that I call back Thursday, May 10, because my tracking number should be available then. This seems contradictory because usually a tracking numer is linked to the shipment at the time it is sent; not 2 days later.
My take away is that this company is not honest and prey upon people knowing that they need their money. Since I don't have a card number and need my child support money, I am left renderless to their unethical business practices.
Smione card has been holding my child support payments, this started back in febuary they stated fraud on my card and requested info, to this date it's still not resolved AND there was never any fraud on my card! I don't see how it's legal for them to be holding CHILD SUPPORT my child has medical issues and if and when her deadbeat dad pays child supprt that money is very much needed! This company SUCKS
