SmartEnergy Holdings, LLC Reviews
This company, Smart Energy Holdings LLC doubled my rate without any sort of notification. I never got an email, a letter, or a phone call. They said after I called them that they sent out a letter regarding my billing change, but I never recieved it. Instead of actually listening to the customer, they have decided to not offer any sort of refund or discount going forward.
They raised my rate from 0.075 cents to 0.12 per KwH! I went from $150 last january to $320 this january.
$320 for electric? Are they out of their mind?!? I will tell everyone I know of this awful awful service and company. I am filing complaints with PUC and have gotten in touch with my lawyer. Shame on them!
$50 refund and save 10%
SCAM, SCAM, SCAM...you save for one month then they increase to a VARIABLE RATE based on a multiple (more than 10) factors which can differ from neighbor to neighbor and you have no way of knowing what the rate will be. For example last month (Dec 2017) the rate jacked to 9.7 cents/per Kwh compared to other rates of 5.7cents/kwh and to 8.5 cents the month before. Pay attention to the fine print of these contracts - I unfortunately didn't.
I received a phone call to ask me for my Washington Gas account number, the person on the phone told me that they needed the number in order to give me a discount that I was entitled to. But after a few days I received a letter from Washington Gas that my gas supply had been changed to Smart Energy One----I did not authorize such change. I checked online and found many complains about this scam (the gas bill will significantly increase). I called Washington Gas and was told that I had to call Smart Energy One -----their listed customer service phone did not answer and I called another listed phone, the person on the phone agreed to switch me back. Law enforcement agency needs to something to stop such harassment and scam!
I received in the mail a notice from some sweepstakes marketing company that claimed $50 rebate by changing energy suppliers. I called in and asked the agent what type of energy it was because I would only change to green energy and she told me they were. After waiting to receive a notice from Duquesne light I received a report about the power supply agreement and it was coal, gas and nuclear with less than 2% going to green energy. They a lying energy supplier that will say anything to get a customer.
