Smart GPS Backpack LLC Reviews
December 2012, my wife and her friend were looking for a large house to turn into a Adult Living Facility.
One of the real estate agents was Robin Button, who would sometimes bring her boyfriend Sal/Bill Chiechi with her when she showed a house. He would boast about his start up and how well it was doing and as the months went by without finding a house in their budget, in April 2013, Sal or Bill Chiechi suggested he present his company to the ladies to see if they were interested.
My wife ran all this by me and the four of us agreed to meet. Robin Button wasn't present at this meeting, but we were told she was the President of the Company.
The product is good for a pre-school child's first back pack. It was loaded with perks; crayons, coloring book, a CD with several interactive games, but what caught my eye was the As Seen On TV brand logo that was included in the company's folder. The folder also claimed the product was assembled and distributed by PARC. We were told at the meeting that this was true. We were also told that the company had a TV commercial that was hitting cable in a week and after that the price of each unit would double. This was solely based on the As Seen On TV brand logo. We bought 4 units and a week later were told that the commercial was postponed and would be coming out in August.
August came and went. There was always some hold up due to this or that. Sal/Bill Chiechi did keep in touch and always had a song and dance, a new web site with little difference came on line and it was as if he had landed on Mars. I have a dozen emails from him full of lies. I don't think he understands the internet.
Then the International Toy Fair of 2014 was coming to New York City and Sal/Bill Chiechi called and said Capt. Smart GPS Back Pack was going to be there. He gave me the number of the booth his company was to be located and out on the website, there was Capt. Smart GPS Back Pack right at the top of the escalator. Sal/Bill Chiechi only needed money to get his inventory up there and the whole world would know about Capt. Smart GPS Back Pack. I told him I would invest, if I could go with him and help him sell the product. He was all for it and I purchased another unit and in a few weeks Capt. Smart GPS Back Pack was no longer part of the International Toy Fair of 2014.
He never answered his phone or return texts or emails. The addresses I had for him on Treasure Island and Clearwater were bogus. I emailed everyone he said he was affiliated with and never got a reply. It was another year before I heard from Sal/Bill Chiechi again.
In the mean time I read things like, "now that the the International Toy Fair of 2014 and the International Book Fair of 2014 are behind us, let's move forward". He sounds like he's communicating with hundreds of people, but as far as I knew at the time, my wife and I and our friend were the only investors.
In the Spring of 2015 he called me and accually wanted me to sign for a $50,000.00 loan to get the company's commercial on TV. He was in the hospital with some kind of infection in his feet and legs and couldn't meet with the money people. All I had to do was sign for the loan and Capt. Smart GPS Back Pack would be on TV.
I asked for Capt. Smart GPS Back Pack financial reports from 2013 to the first quarter of 2015. I never heard from him again.
Sal/Bill Chiechi's girlfriend Robin Button, the real estate agent and President of Capt. Smart GPS Back Pack denied ever having anything to do with Capt. Smart GPS Back Pack, yet her name is on websites and in my investment package as the President of the company. She doesn't answer her phone or emails either.
I would avoid this guy like the plague. He can talk and con and lie with ease. I even noticed the difference in the web designer's reply to Sal/Bill Chiechi. It was like hey he's alright. He's going to pay me back. He's being conned right now and doesn't know it.
I met Salvatore, Real Name Bill Cheichi online and agrred to do some web design, graphic work and manage some crowd funding campaigns. As it turns out, I have not gotten paid and their is always promises and a song and dance about what he has going on and the money that is coming in but never does. As it turns out apparently Mr Cheichi has an investment scam that he has been pulling for years. He hires freelancers like myself to preform web design work to further the asthetics of his web sites, http://smartlearningsystem.org http://www.smarterkidsusa.com and st the moment out of service thanks to me http://smartbackpack.com . This bum lives in an office at 576 SE Port Saint Lucie BLVd PSL, FL 34984 and basically spokes dope all day and calls people or engages them on the street about his Smart GPS Backpack and Smart Learning System and if they invest 5,000 dollars he we make them x amount of money. Mr Cheichi has done just enough work to make this look legit with the websites and a few actual demo products but not enough products to actually sell. At the moment he owes me $650.00 for I.T. work and during the course the scam is so evident if you are behind the scenes and not the person he is praying on. Apparently there is a list of other freelancers like myself he has not paid, as well. So in 7 years This guy has not sold a single product to give his so called investors their money back let alone a return on their investment. I hope no one else falls victim to this non sense. It doesn't take 7 years to put a gps in a backpack or or market a few 20 page childrens books. Again this is all for show so he can keep conning money from people who think they are doing a good deed or will actually receive a ROI. He is on Equity net now trying to hustle 990,000 wish I could warn those people. I also, see I am not the first person reporting him here, seems he was involved in Credit Card Fraud in one of his scams related to the Smart GPS Backpack and Smart Learning System.
