The books were OK and had some decent information in them however, they may work as claimed in Florida, in Los Angeles it's a NO GO. Not one sale with over $1000 spent. I asked for a prorated refund since I paid for a year upfront and they declined.
Smart agents is a scam realtors beware do not waste your money , they have a great concept but do not deliver took my money and had to press for support their web page does nothing. I was supposed to get magazines but got none. do not waste your time or money.
This service is over-hyped, over-charged and they are unethical. Their disclosure of support, what is provided and how they charge is very misleading. Their entire marketing borders on being unethical. What is the worst is how they hide their true terms. They hide the fact they automatically renew until you notify to cancel. If you try to cancel they avoid responding. They will bill your charge card two months prior to the yearly expiration then refuse a refund. This is not worth paying a penny for and in my opinion their services are poor, marketing mis-leading and books poorly written and also mis-lead the public. Do not waste your time or a single penny with this firm.
Horrible product. These books are full of bad grammar - misspelled words, incomplete sentences, etc. They promised to fix errors for free - nope! When trying to get these errors fixed prior to ordering, they wanted $50 for each category of books. They promised something then, actually, lied about it. Their books also have content that does not apply to every State. A complete waste of money. This is very disappointing. Realtors are all about honesty, integrity, and transparency. This company is the exact opposite. Of course, they refused to refund my money.
I signed up for the DFY (Done For You) book and guide program. SmartAgents/Authorify was supposed to send out books and further mailings to expired listings along with giving me the names, phone numbers etc to call and follow up with the potential clients receiving the information. The rep at Authorify was a good guy who truthfully seems to mean well, but the system in my opinion is very disjointed. No phone number were ever provided with the leads, though there are numbers for several of the clients (looked them up on REDX). It's probably good that they did not provide numbers since they use Landvoice, which DOES NOT separate out or identify phone numbers on the DNC list. Informational guides which were to be sent out as follow up to the books, were never sent (I have screen shots showing that the follow up is scarce). In my humble opinion, an agent is much better off door knocking these potential client/expired listings developing relationships on a face-to-face rather than spending dollars on this system.
The system doesn't even deserve 1 star. The initial advertising is misleading, "Get 7 books for free." What they don't tell you is that you have to call / log-in and personalize the books, then they will be sent to you. So you wait to receive them, or forget that you even ordered them, and at the end of the one month "free trial", your credit card is charged $97. (Supposedly, somewhere in the small print was the statement that at the end of the "free trial", your card would be charged unless you cancelled.) Since you never saw the books, you forgot about the "free trial", and unless you go over your credit card statement in detail every month -- I know, I know, we all should -- it may be 2 months, or maybe 3, before you realize you are being charged for something you have yet to interact with. After 30 minutes on the phone appealing for a refund of $194, I was told that's not their policy. Then, when I stated I wished to cancel my membership, I was told that the earliest phone appointment available with a "customer service" rep who could cancel my subcription, would be 3 days away! At that point, I went ballistic! They finally did find someone who would cancel my service, but it took another 15 minutes describing that their process is deceitful, and the details are "hidden". Stay away from Authorify / Smart Agents. I cannot state this strongly enough, and I am also filing a complaint against them with the Better Business Bureau, and am posting as many negative reviews as possible, on as many channels as I can.
