I have been told by mystery shoppers that Skyline Mystery Shops aka skylineexpressco.com aka ourmshop.com aka Our M Shop Corpsaka skyelinemytery.com aka Kym DeFore has posted mystery shopping jobs on sites such as zip recruiter. They have stolen/cloned a website from a well known company named Advanced Feedback, Inc. advancedfeedback.com. The cloned site skylineexpressco.com has many errors, images not working etc a very clear indication that the company is a scam!
The scammers behind Skyline Mystery Shops are sending fraudulent checks in the mail in the thousand dollar range which result in shoppers having their bank accounts closed. They are fishing for bank account information and personal information in order to steal identities.
Here is a sample of one of the emails being sent: "Good Morning, I will like to thank you for your patience and also congratulate you as a member of our working team.
We deeply apologize for the delay in getting you started as we need to put structures in place. As a Customer Feedback Satisfaction Surveys, you are responsible for gathering information, giving ideas, and improving brand standards of products and services. The position is more of a freelance position so there is not much paperwork to be done, You get paid for every task you perform daily and as much task you can complete will be the maximum you can get paid for.
Today you will be receiving funds to conduct an all-expense paid survey and evaluation in your area. As our Customer Feedback Satisfaction Surveys posing as a normal customer, you are expected to perform specific tasks such as purchasing a product or using a service and sending the answers to the questions below on your report back. This is to update you that you will be receiving the funds for your first retail survey assignment sent via FedEx. Its a Cashiers Check for $1,879.00. Most of the websites they guise as appear to be shut down. I've worked for Advanced Feedback for over 14 years they are a legitimate business. Skyline Mystery Shops has cloned their website and changed a few things to pose as a real mystery shopping company. They use fake contact information have there website hosted overseas. Do not cash the checks they send please! Any company that sends you a check before a you complete a shop should be questioned and is most likely a scam. Personally I know Advanced Feedback pays their shoppers via PayPal (as do many other real companies) Real companies also schedule shops with reputable and secure apps such as Shop Metrics or Gigspot.
