Skullduggery, Inc. Reviews

  • Dec 29, 2019

I founded a company and named it Skullduggery in 1978. I made fossil replicas mostly from museum collections and paid a royalty to those museums for every sale. I am a 100& disabled veteran, and I started this company because nobody would hire Vietnam veterans in those days.

In 1985 I got very sick and could not keep up with the workload. Skullduggery had revenue of 1 million dollars a year, and we had no competition. I was putting all our revenue back into the business to make it grow. In 1986 my brother sent me Peter Koehl, of PKA associates, who professed endlessly that he was trustworthy and that we are friends.

He promised me he had a crew of professionals willing and eager to get to work. After about a year of negotiations, we signed a contract that gave me a pittance, a mere $500 a week, whether I did anything for the company or not, in perpetuity, plus half the profits, in exchange for 50% of the company.

My job was to market to the scientific community and the general public, and to make molds of original fossil from museum collections. Being free of the burden of manufacturing for the first time, was so encouraging, and my main motivation for signing the contract.

I wanted to make molds from museum collections around the world. I already had established an excellent reputation for never damaging any original skulls. I had a Joint Venture with the country of China in the works, to make molds of all their most rare and unusual dinosaur skulls and skeletons.

China's dinosaurs are very different than North American dinosaurs - even more exotic and unusual. My trust was quickly betrayed and this so-called "crew" that was promised was his children, fresh out of school and needing employment.

Peter paid them exorbitant salaries which were outrageous . Then I discovered that every Koehl family mamber was paid a $50,000.00 bonus in addition to their exorbitant salaries, - so there dissolved all the profits. Then Peter proclaimed that there woud be no more fossils added to the existing product line. So nauseating. I was not going to charge the company anything more than the contracted for amount of $500 a week for my labor.

Who does such a thing? This is a company that manufactures nothing but fossil replicas, and now Peter Koehl decides we will not manufacture any new fossil replicas? Who does such a thing? I'm convinced they intended to destroy the company from the beginning. I discovered that checks from customers that did not have Inc. in the Pay To line were being sent to a company by the name of Skullduggery in Toledo, Ohio.

Peter is from Detroit, Michigan, and Toledo, Ohio is the nearest large city to Detroit. Surely Peter has friends and relatives in that area, so they were hiding the revenue from me. Now 33 years later, it's obviously true. Their books have been cooked to show a loss every year. In 2014 when The Profit program with Marcus Lemonis aired.

Marcus spoke outloud about the money they were earning. The Koehl "children", now in their 50's panicked and cut him off, but they are busted. Marcus said on camera that they earned $64,000.00 in 2010. My K-1, statement of shareholders income, shows a loss for 2010.

They things they did to me were cruel. They never paid me according to the contract - nothing at all. They left me destitute at a time when I was homeless. I owned a piece of property in Oregon, in the forest with no near neighbors. That is where I was forced to retreat to.

No electricity, no water, no phone. I nearly starved to death, seriously. I have nothing but contempt for these thieves. They were like a clique of junior high students, ridiculing me at every step, as I sacrificed evertthing I had for their benefit. These people, the Koehls are the scum of the earth.
