I received an online offer from Skin Cell Clarity to try a free sample of their "Inherent Beauty Revitalizing Serum". The offer said all I had to pay was $4.99 for shipping and handling. This ad said nothing about having to cancel anything or that I would be sent additional product or billed additional money. After I filled out the required information for shipping and gave my credit card information for the $4.99, when I clicked "Continue" to complete the transaction, I noticed I had been billed an additional $4.00 for a product called "YS Cream Eye Complex". It wouldn't allow me to back up or opt out of this eye stuff. At that point, I thought, "Oh well, I guess my trial is actually going to cost $9.99 instead of $4.99". Two weeks later, I found that my bank account had been charged two additional charges. One for $89.94 from Skin Cell Clarity and another for $89.85 from Serum Visions LOC (the eye stuff).
There was NOTHING on the original ad that said anything about me needing to cancel anything or I would be billed additional money or sent additional products! I am super careful about stuff like that and would never enter into anything like that! Additionally, I would never have agreed to purchase any kind of skin care products that were that expensive! My husband and I live on Social Security and in no way could afford to spend that kind of money on skin care products. When I contacted these companies, both were very rude and uncooperative and refused to refund my money. Both representatives that I spoke with continued to try to sell me other products and/or discounts and to tell me that their terms were clearly stated on their website. That they are ... clearly stated on their website, but the ad I was sent (and I can't remember if I got it through Facebook or in an email or what) that I responded to said nothing like what is on their website! If they were a reputable company, they would have refunded my money as soon as I told them I was dissatisfied! They are total frauds!
