On February 27, 2014, I settled for a home built by Steuart Kret in Accokeek. They promised to do a Walk Through at the end of one year. After not having heard anything from Steuart Kret, I contacted Christian Schmidt, the project manager, on July 12, 2015, to set up a date for the walk through. Christian stated that my warranty had expired on February 27, 2015, and that I needed to contact the warranty company, (Residential Warranty Company, LLC). I e-mailed the company with all the information they requested but to date, they have not responded.
The company did not state orally or in writing, expressed or implied that if they were not contacted on the anniversary date of settlement, that the warranty would be voided. No one ever contacted me about the imminent date so that the contract could be enforced.
I would like for Steuart Kret to abide by the terms of the contract and make the necessary repairs to my home.
