In early September I had my BMW i8 delivered from Denver CO to Los Angeles CA. The owner took photos prior to delivery and everything was perfect. I had hired SJB Transportation through a transport broker and was told it would be safe in an enclosed trailer. Upon arrival my vehicle had over $5k in damage. SJB Transportaion did NOT take any photos of my vehicle prior to delivery as is company policy to do so. In fact they showed me 30 + pictures of other vehicles that they transport but only 1 of mine. They immediately stated that they would pay for the damages but it is now February and they still owe me the $1000 deductible. I had to pay over $5k to repair the damage done, and their Progressive policy paid out $4k but stated that I have to get the other $1000k from the operator Steve Sowells. I have been patient with him as he offered multiple times the past few months to make good on his payment but it is now Feb and he is avoiding all of my phone calls and refusing to pay what he owes. I will be taking him to court here in CA but want others out there to know about his abusive care of vehicles and that he cannot be trusted in case there is a claim.
