I run a small business. A regular customer told me they'd very been surprised to see a negative review of me and my company on SiteJabber; I immediately went to the site and discovered not just one but several, all sounding very similar.
I messaged each "reviewer" so that I could help them resolve their "problems" with me but got no response from any of them. SiteJabber provides NO way for me to verify that these are real customers -- but is very keen to sign me up as a "business customer" at vast expense.
In fact, I'm quite sure that the reviews are all from the same source; a dishonest employee I fired.
Even if SiteJabber provides me with the name and email address of the reviewers, it is absolutely no problem for someone to make up names and use multiple email addresses. If I ask for a review of the reviews, it's simple for a former employee to "verify" that they did make the purchase or get "spoken to rudely" by me, the owner.
SiteJabber says you cannot pay them to remove reviews, but they do remove reviews they consider fraudulent; this is breathtakingly bogus. Any business paying that kind of money to SiteJabber is going to expect, and get, some condsideration, or why bother? What a crappy shakedown! Shame on you, SiteJabber.
Sitejabber is an online review website which purports itself to offer web users the ability to write reviews on the websites they have used and online stores they have done business with. Over the past few years I have contributed over 100 reviews to the website and have gone out of my way to help the site by referring others to it.
Recently I found that Sitejabber was secretly hiding my reviews, but not making that obvious or disclosing that to me. I've never received a notification telling me that my reviews ran afowl of the rules and have read the terms to know that my reviews meet their criteria. While I had over 100 reviews and could see them in my profile, when accessing my profile in incognito, there were only three reviews. That's over 90% of my reviews being hidden without disclosing that fact.
Sitejabber hides reviews and doesn't tell their users.
I posted an out of the way review for a business called Referrizer, and a few months later Sitejabber removed my review. I was trying to warn the public in a very quiet manner that Referrizer hires you as an independent contractor, but then turns around and starts micromanaging you. My review link:
Sitejabber reviews, sitejabber.com reviews, site jabber reveiews - This service is a complete scam, both their location and website use fake reviews to extort business into signing up for a paid service to control these so called reviews - after doing some extensive research, we realized that this company is associated with several other scam companies which solicit business into purchasing their service. please check yelp and the BBB for verification, If you or your business is either effected or contacted by by them please report here ic3.gov/default.aspx
