During 2016 and 2017, I rented space in “Simply Self Storage” located in Wheeling IL. I always pay my fee upfront (see attached receipt). I always notified property manager 10-15 days ahead of my decision to end my contract.
Never had problem. Never received additional letter regarding outstanding FEE or late payment.
I do have proof from local Simply Self storage about zero balance on my account.
Suddenly in November 2017, I got a letter from Federal Collection Bureau, INC located in Lawrenceville, GA 30042-5148 Ph. 770-446-6-17, that my account is assigned to them and pending $37.70 (see attachment).
I called this company five times and asked about any additional documentation regarding $37.70.
Every time they (Representative Ms. Renee and Ms. Diana) told me about file that is not located in their office and is not available. They promised to request the file from ‘Simply Self Storage” and recommended me to contact Simply Self Storage.
I contacted local Wheeling office. I got several promises to receive a call from corporate office or regional manager. Such call never came. Direct contact is not available either. Corporate office is not responding on any phone messages.
According Federal Collection Bureau, INC, they can disregard this case only after receiving Exception form from Simple Storage.
