Simple Freight, LLC. Reviews
On June 12th 2018 I applied for a home based job. I got the job on the 22nd of June .The company claimed they would pay on the 22nd of July. I contacted Peter Williams since that would fall on the weekend he said it would be on the next business day. Today is the 24th of July and still no check an no answer from Peter Williams. I even worked on the weekend June 14th waiting on a package......After 30 days I contacted Peter Williams about my check an got no answer. Then I contacted [email protected] an got no answer. I have a contract agreement with them that shows the pay amount and the notary seal that this company is authorized to work.
Around the middle of May I stared receiving packages from a seemed to bw legot company simple-freight. I fies out forms giving my personal information. I started receiving packages. I was supposed to inspect the packages send photos and wait for a label to be sent back to me so I can print it out and resend the package back out to whoever it was supposed to be sent out to. I thought everything was okay and going smooth, I did this for about two almost three weeks. I came out of the pocket for printing cost. I have pictures and receipts to prove this. All of a sudden I stopped receiving packages. I informed Peter I emailed Peter I called Peter no response. Till this day I still haven't heard anything back from Peter. I came to the conclusion that this was all a big scam and that I've wasted a lot of my time and money on this and I am very upset. Pleaae please help!!
This company is a money laundering front. They offer an at home Logistics Specialist "job". They communicate mostly by email but are bold enough to offer phone #'s to call also. They provide what seems to be legitimate paperwork to get you hired, I9 form, W-4 forms, an "employment contract" and they have again, what seems to be a legitimate website.
The job description is that they send you packages, you open the package, inspect the contents, take a picture and are supposed to send it back with the information enclosed. First package we received was addressed to someone else and had shipping labels to send to a return department.
It seemed a bit off so we did some further research and found a lady that had went thru the exact same process. We decided not to send the package back and for a few days after that, we kept receiving packages which we just did a 'Return to sender'.
I communicated with Peter Williams who wouldn't take my phone calls but would respond to email. Grammar and spelling were terrible and he was very insulting saying that my husband is incompetent and couldn't follow direction. I responded back a few times letting him know we know they are a scam and that we've reported them to our local police. He continued to email back insults. He finally stopped when I threatened a case of harassment against him and the packages stopped coming also.
What they do is after you've sent back the first few packages, you get a deposit in your bank for THOUSANDS of dollars which of course your bank will flag that and let you know. You then call the company and they tell you it was an accounting mistake and to just send them back the money minus your compensation. That's their scam.
