I was a new costumer i went through full KYC protocal then linked my external checking account which they obviously verified because i provided all the documents and images showing proof of owning that account. (I actually provided more than was requested)
i made few deposits into my "simple " then they blocked my account which they never told me about i had to find that out while attempting to use my debit card for the first time. simple bank told me they need further verification which j provided . my account is still blocked ive been going back and forth with this bank for over 3 weeks . I can't get through to costumer service ive been hung up on and they stopped replying to the in app msg strings.
SIMPLE BANK IS A SCAM or at very best they simply don't care about their costumers . they don't even have a call back service when you call , instead they make their costumers stay on hold for 45-1:40 minutes (i my experience of 5 calls) then when they answer they tell you bs empty words how they understand but they won't actually fix the issue i requested/demanded i speak to a manager they said no . another time I called i was told it would be unlocked by the end of day (2weeks ago) complete lie. if you are thinking about opening an account YOU WILL PROBABLY HAVE YOUR MONEY STOLEN FOR A BIT OF TIME.
These 6 Simple customer service reps (Jason Vaughan, Justin Seitz, Sean Hopp, Carlos Esparza, Kyle Judge, John Kean) are absolutely the rudest, most incompetent, most unqualified customer service staff at any company I have ever dealt with. If you're looking for a bank that has competent support staff who don't have an attitude problem look elsewhere because it's definitely not Simple Bank. When I signed up I wondered how they were able to offer a product without any fees and after dealing with their so-called support staff it's pretty obvious they cut costs by hiring everyone else's support rejects. I could get better support in a box of Cracker Jacks. Two weeks of dealing with these people was more than enough for me to know that this wasn't a bank I felt safe dealing with or keeping any money in because the support staff is completely incompetent. Besides their incompetence and rudeness, you can also look forward to long wait times on hold before anyone even picks up the phone, very limited customer service hours (and that includes their fraud department which isn't 24/7 and is only open during business hours to report a problem if you lose your card or it is stolen, or you notice an unauthorized charge). Horrible, absolutely horrible. This bank's parent BBVA Compass needs to keep a better eye on the inexperienced kids they hire to work at their Simple Bank division.
They took Four (4) Deposits from me 1/5/2017 and (3) Three on 2/3/2017 c;aiming that one of my checks was not valid.. I recieved one (1) message back from them in reference to this situation after being hung up on 147 times and yes that's 147 times because once they close the account you no longer recieve phone support from anyone.. The one messae recieved said I could re negotiate the checks from my deposit with another bank, which would be great if they didn't clear the issuing bank already!! So they do in deed have my funds and have refused to speak with me, the FDIC, BBB, 2 Police stations one in Portland OR and one local. I have also reported them to the FBI finance fraud department and banking. Seems they don't care and are reading a script with no purpose. This has continued for weeks and last thing to do is file in federal court. DO NOT use these people, you will be very sorry in the end.
Do not lease anything with this company, I was told I'd be paying 700 ish for a mattress and the only documents I was ever sent was Welcome letters for documents. Everything was good at first and one day I decide to call in because my calculations were that it would be my last payment for the mattress. I call customer service only to be told I owe almost 900 dollars. I email customer service to avoid being put on hold and wasting time, a very nice representative gave me an offer to pay 145 and close the account out and payment arrangements were made to pay it that Friday. Come Friday NO CALLS WERE ANSWERED OR RESPONSES TO EMAILS of me attempting to make the payment. I contacted the extension number and email address provided to me from the representative for a month STRAIGHT and never got a response. I finally gave up and called customer service and was told that he was let go, explains the no response I ask for a supervisor so they can take my payment, which would of only been about 52 dollars at that point because they kept taking funds from my account. Nope, supervisor says that because that employee is no longer with them that they cannot honor his offer even though I attempted many times to make the payment. This supervisor give me an offer to pay 495 dollars. And proceeds to scold me for being upset because as said if I could afford to pay that I would have never needed a lease in the first place, especially because the issue behind the whole thing was that they only did not send me the actual agreement but they also FORGED my signature on the agreement.
