You would get an item in the mail which would require gift wrapping. They would give you a free shipping label so that after you mailed it off, all you would have to do is prove you mailed it by taking a picture of the label and uploading it on the web portal they provided. They first sent some protein powder and then something random like a book. After they gave you the OK as a gift wrapper, they would send you around to pick up items from stores like Apple to pick up products.
You would then wrap those items and send them off to the person they (the company) told you to send it to, take a picture of the shipping receipt and then upload it to the site. All the while, people were staying in contact with you when you sent an email and you would see your supposed earnings grow. They advised that you would get a paycheck at the end of the month based on the earnings you would see on the portal.
At the end of that month when payment was requested via Paypal, they no longer communicated with you and after repeated attempts, nothing.
The company they used to send the gift wrapping paper from had an account opened with my name and address. The account was opened with my name and address. Since the account was paid, I wasn't overly concerned. Then not too far into the working relationship, the gift wrapping company started sending me bills because they said the payment originally submitted didn't go through. My mom called the company and also sent a letter letting them know that the account was opened fraudulently.
My mom looked up the address on one of the emails sent me and reached out to a broker who was over that property. She couldn't get any definitive answer that the company was located there. My mom called the company and the person that spoke to her said that they hand the HR for the company as an outsourced company.
This company also gets your address and sends out items that are supposedly from you to other people with an item to wrap. I just got something in the mail the day before yesterday.
