Signature Closers, LLC. Reviews
I completed a signing on behalf of Signature Closers on July 14, 2020. I received a text message from Signature Closers asking me to advise them on the signing I did on this particular day, stating that the package was missing. I explained to them that once the package has a tracking number, the shipper is no longer involved in the transaction. I informed them that if the receiver claims the package is missing or damage, it is their responsibility to file the claim and advised them to go to Fedex website to read their policy. I repeatedly asked them for the tracking number so I can at least see where it was shipped to. They refused to provide me with the tracking number and insist that I file the claim.
I decided to do some investigation myself, typically when I receive the downloaded loan documents for the borrowers I delete them from my computer after I print them and the docs are shipped. However, being as though computers really don't delete files, it just make the space available. I was able to locate the fedex label that was included in the borrower's package and learned that not only was it delivered to the right place, it was signed by an individual by the name of T. Stephens on July 16, 2020. After contacting Signature Closers of my findings, they went on to say the package was empty but a few days later the borrowers reached out to me via text messages, worried about their loan documents and they informed me that the title company informed them that the documents was destroyed.
After refusing to file the claim. Because, my thoughts was: they wanted me to file the claim and make me take responsibility for the missing package and later, file a claim against by bond, (I have a $50,000.00 bond). Also, in my opinion they wanted me to commit mail fraud by telling me to just tell Fedex that the package was destroyed, however, when Signature Closers first contacted me about the package, they stated that the title company received an empty package. They just couldn’t keep their story straight.
By refusing to file the claim with Fedex, Signature Closers informed me that they are taking my fee for this signing, the fee was $90.00.
On August 15, 2020, I also received an email from Mark Fleming Jr. informing me that they are also taking an additional $250.00-300.00 for a Lifelock fee. (I have no idea what that is). When I received my check from Signature Closers on August 15, 2020, it was $380.00 short. I still have the check because it is the wrong amount and cashing it, in my opinion is saying that I except the amount because I don’t. I am asking that Signature Closers pay the $380.00 that they deducted from my check. I am also asking for a letter of apology for making false accusations against me, defaming my character and giving a bad reputation with a title company I worked with for years.
Sincerely ,
Linda Porter
