Boy, do I wish I'd seen this site before using this company.
I was aware that the company was taking money for the entire order upfront, and I was okay with that. I've done business with other companies that I pay and the company ships, including Costco. I'm okay with that.
However... The company never specified that shipping meant dropping it on the curb. I'm 64 years old and 4'10. How am I supposed to move furniture? The woman I spoke with did tell me she'd reimburse me for hiring someone to move the furniture.
However... I received the shipment today with stickers all over it not to refuse the shipment but to open it to check for damage, so I opened it in my driveway, and workmanship is horrible. If I had bought the same dresser locally from a resale shop and I'd paid $250 to $500 I'd have been okay, but I spent $1400, and the drawers rock in the openings. Some of the wood planking is more narrow in some places than others, meaning the drawers will always rock.
WHen I called Sierra, I mentioned that the dovetailing was sloppy, and she said, "Did you pay for dovetailing? That's extra."
I'm not a furniture maker, so I don't know if technically the artisans were attempting to dovetail the drawers, but the bottoms line is it's shoddy workmanship, and I waited 3 months, and I now have a dresser and matching tv stand in my driveway. I will cover the furniture with a tarp and hope that the monsoon season doesn't further damage the furntiure. Although at this point, it's not really my responsibility.
